Zombies Anonymous (2006) – This movie was only OK, not great, very low budget, but it was unique. Zombies living among the living and trying to function in society, while facing discrimination from the living. A new take on the whole equal rights thing. This movie was available for streaming on Netflix (not sure if it still is or not).

I’ve had Poultrygeist saved in my Netflix Queue forever, still need to get around to that one. I don’t expect much from it, which is why I still haven’t gotten around to it yet.

How about Fulci’s Gates of Hell trilogy which is City of the Living Dead, The Beyond and House by the Cemetery. Each film follows a doorway to hell being opened in some way and zombies with metaphysical abilities being released.
My picks would probably be Zombie Honeymoon and Revenge of the Living Dead Girls, both offer a different twist on the zombie genre.
I just recently saw Pontypool. Good movie, very weird. They’re making a sequel. I think I might have read they plan on making it into a trilogy, but I read so much crap I could be mistaken.

I can’t believe I forgot about Deadgirl in the original post. That was probably the grossest zombie flick I’ve seen…not for gore, not much of that in this one, but just a gross concept, I loved it for that.

I have to agree and go with Pontypool. That movie had me standing 15min into it and couldn’t sit for the rest of the film. It just blew my mind with it’s originality!!

This really isn’t a movie, but I recently bought the Fear Itself DVD set. It was a short lived horror anthology show. There was an episode on it called “New Years Day”. One of the most original zombie stories I’ve seen in a while. Definitely worth watching.
Undead was a pretty unique zombie flick. How about Serpent and the Rainbow, does that count as a zombie flick?
