We Give Thanks to Fox For Making ‘Deadpool’

Fox is getting into the holiday spirit with this hilarious Thanksgiving-themed poster for Deadpool 2, opening in theaters June 1, 2018.

The poster, courtesy of Collider, displays Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Cable (Josh Brolin) having a family affair with the new cast including Zazie Beetz as Domino, with Monica Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Jack Kesy, Stefan Kapicic, Julian Dennison, and Leslie Uggams.

From the official Marvel Directory, the time-traveling Cable (the adult son of Cyclops), is “a mutant whose physical attributes have been enhanced to superhuman levels. His principal mutant powers are his vast telepathic and telekinetic abilities. He can employ the latter to levitate objects and to create protective force shields. He must continually employ his telekinetic powers to prevent the techno-organic virus from affecting the rest of his body. His techno-organic left arm and shoulder possess even greater strength than his entirely organic ones. Cable’s techno-organic right eye can see into the infrared portion of the spectrum.

David Leitch (John Wick) is directing from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

Nice, but it looks like someone smacked T. J. Miller’s glasses off of his head or something.

I hate Domino’s look. Sad, I’d bet all that complaining from JLaw about her character Mystique scared Fox into revamping this new look for the character.

    • Joe Smith

Yeah Domino looks bad. Hopefully she turns out better then she looks.

  • Matt Graupman

Hahaha! The Stan Lee portrait in the background… genius!

Let’s see if the second part is going to be 2h of fart and penis jokes again, or if anything interesting happens this time.

    • Joe Smith

Then don’t watch it. The first one was probably the best Fox comic book movie in years.

      • Pumpkin Witch

Yeah I won’t watch it, if it’s as bad as the first one. I can still hope that it’ll be better, though.

        • WALKTER

          no you can’t

I actually liked the first one, on a scale of ishtty comicbook movies.
But then I’ve got a childish sense of humor.

I dont imagine the second one is going to be similar what so ever.
      Have you seen Atomic Blonde?

David Leitch is apparently a stuntman turned director.
(Or would that be stunt person…)
And he directs like a stuntman.

If you like a lot of action choreography,
it should be right down your alley.

Exactly, it’s that sort of humor I don’t like. I know that a lot of people do, though which is cool for them.
Atomic Blonde was great when it comes to action and fight scenes (otherwise just “good” in my opinion) but then again, it wasn’t really action scenes that bothered me so much while watching Deadpool. I just can’t stand it when you know you’re supposed to laugh at some silly joke and that’s basically the essence of the scene. Anyway, at least they got a great cast and interesting characters this time.

I like Zazie Beetz as Domino! A major reason to actually watch this.

Loved the first movie and think brolin looks epic as cable. Sadly domino looks worse every picture I see, literally looks nothing like the original character(nothing to do with ethnicity, purely a fact)domino could easily still have been played by the same actress but used fx to make her skin the alabaster colour in the comics, since it’s part of her mutation, not her ethnicity.still excited for this movie tho
