Five Amazing Drummers You May Not Have Heard Of

Let me preface this article by saying that I’m not a drummer. I’m a guitarist and have been for almost two decades. So my knowledge of the intricacies and little flairs that drummers do often times gets lost on me. But I still listen very carefully and still appreciate a drummer who takes a song and gives it something special rhythmically. That’s why I wanted to put together a list of five drummers that I feel are doing amazing things but seem to be overlooked by other lists. So, head on below to check out my personal choices!

Alaya – David Jacob Robison

It’s not easy being able to come up with a groove when the music doesn’t always revolve around 4/4. And yet Robison nails it pretty much every time, creating a fierce rhythm section that bolsters some incredibly infectious music.
