30 years later, the legacy continues.
We recently told you that Killer Klowns from Outer Space composer John Massari was re-awakening his iconic synth score for the ’80s film, with a brand new orchestral soundtrack planned for release through Varese Sarabande. That’s still the plan, and today we’re thrilled to break the news that a live-to-film concert event is also on the way.
What does that mean, you ask? Well, for the first time ever, you’ll be able to experience Killer Klowns like never before… with a live orchestral score conducted by Massari!
Massari will conduct the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra for the special event, taking place at Los Angeles’ The Montalban on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
To add to the excitement, The Dickies will be performing their beloved Killer Klowns from Outer Space theme song at the event!
Varese Sarabande will be releasing a soundtrack album that’s due out in time for the concert. The Dickies have recorded a new version of the theme for that release.
Along with these exciting details, Massari has allowed us to exclusively reveal the poster art for the event, created by the Chiodo brothers and Javier Burgos Gasco.
