‘Dragon Tattoo’ Star Transports Dracula’s Coffin in ‘Demeter’

While digging for info on Alien, it appears that LA Times stumbled onto some casting news for the long, long, long gestured The Last Voyage of the Demeter, a Dracula tale that’s been in development since around the time of Underworld Evolution (2005). Fox Announces Untitled Vampire Spoof Film for This Summer

Vampires are all the craze these days — too bad it’s mostly with the tweenie Twilight fans. Beyond Twilight we’ve seen Liongsate’s Daybreakers, HBO’s “True Blood” drama, WB’s “The Vampire Diaries”, and the forthcoming ABC series “The Gates”. There are multiple films in production ranging from Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to The Last Voyage of the Demeter. The possibilities are endless, which is why 20th Century Fox is prepping to release yet another vomit-inducing spoof movie based around the vampire craze. The shocker? It’s coming out on August 18 of this summer. The pic is from Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the craptacular duo behind Disaster Movie, Epic Movie, Date Movie, and Meet the Spartans. A guaranteed “suck”-fest? Yes. It has already been rated PG-13. Earlier this month it was announced that Fully Mooned, a Twilight spoof had entered pre-production. Maybe this is the film? More soon, I’m sure. (more…) READ MORE
