I thought this was a good series I loves the first 3
but I did not care for the 4th.

Phantasm: I great horror a weird unusual horror the balls were done great, the tall man was scary as hell and the acting was pretty decent.

Phantasm II: A very good film it had the same feeling as the original once again the balls were great, the killer dwarves were cool, tall man was great. 2nd best after the original.

Phantasm III Lord of the Dead: Also very good, good success as the first 2 had. Had the same successful areas as the first 3 had Balls, dwarves, decent acting tall man just as scary. 3rd best in the series.

Phantasm: Oblivion: more of a comedy didn’t like not a horrible film but still disappointing easily the worst in the series and the weakest movie in a good franchise although it did have some funny moments.

Overall this is a good series one of the better ones recommended if you like horrors. Overall Best was the original 2nd part 3rd part 4th Oblivion. Recommended franchise.

This was a really good sequel from the 1st Phantasm film. The only thing disappointing is that they didn’t have the original character played as Mike in the film. Although it was still a fantastic film and I’m glad they put Mike back in the 3rd sequel of Phantasm as well!

Phantasm, by far, is one of the best horror sci-fi movies out there. For its budget, the organic nature of the special effects, and quite possibly above all, the music, pushes this far above most of what it out there even today.

Phantasm 2 was weaker but still good. It seemed more plot driven while not really explaining much. I liked the choice of James LeGros as Mike, but as Don has said himself many times it was Universal who put that decision into play. Don, to my understanding, had wanted both Reg and Mike, but they wouldn’t budge and would only let Don have one or the other.

Phantasm 3, while revealing something major in the film, was the weakest in the series to me. It the sound effects were awful (mostly involving the Tall Man) and it seemed to rely on dark comedy.

Phantasm Oblivion was much like the first to me and I really enjoyed it.

The only things I wish would change in the series are less Reg after the nookie, change the sound effects for the spheres to the original movie, and use the original theme rather than the one from 2 and 3.

Official Score: 4.5 / 5
