Canadian producers Unstable Ground are hard at work packaging and developing THE ETERNAL, and have some new exciting news. The first cast member has agreed to join lead Adam Wilson in this foray into madness and bloodletting. Highly-talented character actor James Lorinz (from the cult-hits FRANKENHOOKER and STREET TRASH) will play a major role in the film. This film will mark Lorinz’s return to the genre, his first horror-related film since the early 90s. “Lorinz was my first choice for the character, it was tailored for him”, stated director Justin McConnell, “his performance in Frankenhooker is so acclaimed for a reason.” Read on for even more news on this project. Paramount Vantage is venturing into the world of horror as the specialty division of Paramount Pictures has acquired Harris Wilkinson’s horror spec Ink for low- against mid-six figures, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Set in the world of tattoo artistry, the high-concept story line is being kept under wraps. But Vantage head of production and acquisitions Amy Israel promised an “original take on the horror genre (that) is hugely exciting.” The script is out to directors. Wilkinson, who most recently penned “Stir of Echoes: The Dead Speak” for Lionsgate, sold “Bone Canyon” to New Line Cinema and penned a rewrite of the thriller “Awake,” which is in development at Universal Pictures.
