I am a huge fan of all of Friday the 13th series. I love watching the nieve teens get slashed up during and after they fornicate in the cabins a Crystal Lake.

Unfortunately this was not the case in this movie. For me that was a huge upet. The movie is basically about how Jason’s heart is transferred from person to person. Ultimately he has to get is heart into someone he is related to (Yes, there are now relatives to Jason Vorhees).

This was the biggest disappointment; however, it was not the only. There were a few pretty good kill scenes but this was over shadowed by the terrible ending. It was susposed to set up for the Freddy Vs. Jason (which was amazing by the way). This movie was susposed to kill Jason for good this time because he is killed by another Vorhees; so I don’t understand why they ended it with an obvious “to be continued”.

I actually liked this one. The demon inside is really kind of cool. the bounty hunter chasing jason is cool. The movie is not scary and moves around alot. they tried to put alot of spins on this and take this on a new journey and it did not work well as a friday but was really fun and entertaining. i enjoy this movie. maybe you will.

Him being a revengeful evil killer was great.
Him being a zombie was still okay.
Him being a Demon can not be accepted.
    The characters sucked.
    Jason’s new look sucked.
The beginning should have been the ending.
The gore and nudity were great. (only good part)
    The story telling was horrible.
    The soundtrack sucked.
And Why On earth have him Speak???
This film was just a Pile of Crap.

This haves been so far the second worst of the series(of course next to jason x)and its so stupid that the movie gave the idea to that weird freddy vs jason, the only thing i liked about this movie was the blood and gore oh and the sex of course.

The tent sex death scenes is still one of my favorite kills of all time. As for the movie, it’s not the best Friday entry but still very entertaining.

Fun, wierd and different is this jason movie. i liked seeing a different story and not just keeping another crystal lake movie, not that those are bad in anyway, but it did need some kind of fresh take on it at this point.
succeeds in gore and violence, some fans like me didnt like not seeing jason kill everybody and it was just a demon creature that went from body to body, that wasnt all bad but it’s jason and you wanna see him do the killing.

The second film in the series to claim to be the last, but we all know how that turns out. This is definately one of my least favorites in the series. While “Jason” is the killer, it’s not really Jason as we know him for most of the movie. A silly concept to try to explain the supernatural being of Jason, which at this point was needed to continue. The next film did a much better job, however, writing it off as incredible tissue regeneration that “begs for more research.” Definately not enough nudity for a Jason film…and you can’t kick Jason in the balls. I mean, really? The guy can withstand anything, and you kick him the balls? Retarded.

This is the film that teased for “Freddy vs. Jason”, and created the 11 year development hell for the film we all thought would never be made.

The worst of the series. A Friday the 13th film with no Jason. That would be like a Nightmare film with no Freddy. This had great blood and gore with two stand out moments, the tent pole killing and the cafe massacre but apart from those not much else and I just can’t shake the feeling that this was made just for the final scene of Freddy’s glove pulling Jason’s make underground into hell. One to avoid.

i liked the mask a lot in this one!
i liked how they stepped out side of the box and made Jason go into others bodies.
    final fight scene was great!
    ENDING IS AWESOME!
    sets up Freddy vs Jason!

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday may not have been the best entry in this long historic horror franchise, but I must say it has the best looking Jason of all the Friday films. His mask all chipped and dirty alond with his bubbly ass head basically growing around his mask, paired with a few strands of hair coming out from the back makes this one Hell of a Jason.

The kill count in this film was pretty low for a Friday film, but the kills were pretty good. The tent and diner scene kills being the best ones. The gore amount was descent as well. cting was solid, but not great. This film ultimately fails due to it’s story. The whole Demon inside of Jason just didn’t appeal to me. The ebding with Freddy’s glove coming up from the ground to drag Jason’s mask down to Hell really took me by surprise when I first seen this way back in 1993. It was a great ending though, to what I thought would be the final Friday.

Overall, take the look of this Jason and pair it with a different story and we could have had one Hell of a Friday film. A descent film worth at least one viewing if your a Friday fan.

At the beginning of the movie, the FBI blow Jason to bits. Because a black coroner eats Jason’s heart, Jason comes back to life in other people’s bodies. I usually love gore scenes, but there are a couple of scenes in Jason Goes to Hell that I just can’t watch. A bounty hunter named Creighton Duke finds out how to ‘really’ kill Jason. Only a Voorhees can kill him.Throughout the film, Jason switches from body to body ‘and hoping the next leap, will be the leap home.’ (Just kidding, Quantum Leap fans.) Really, Jason in the hockey mask is only shown twice in the entire movie. If you love Jason, you might like JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY!!! It’s also cool that this kinda has a little prequel leading to FREDDY VS. JASON!

This was the first Friday movie I saw in the theatres (I was 14 at the time). I was so pumped to see it and then when he started hopping from body to body I was completely bummed out. I finally get a chance to see a Jason movie and 90% you don’t even get to see him on screen.

Tonight I watched it for the first time since that fateful night. I’m sure like most of us, I’m doing a Friday marathon as an appetizer to the main course on Feb.13. I actually enjoyed it. Definitely not the best entry, actually probably the worst, but I was entertained. Some cool kill scenes, and a pretty fast pace throughout.

I understand why I was so disappointed my first time watching this. I anticipated seeing my favourite killer slicing and dicing campers in Crystal Lake. Instead we get random people “posessed” by Jason doind his bidding. This time around I knew what to expect and gave it a shot, and it turned out to be not that bad.

Overall it wasn’t that great but I personally liked the look of Jason better in this movie than any of the other ones. It is relatively stupid and boring (much like every one after #4) for the first half but the final scene when Jason finally reemerges is fuckin top notch. It’s worth a watch, just don’t expect to be blown away.

Jason goes to hell is easily the weakest in the series, but it’s actually not as bad as everyone says it is. I’m not saying it’s good at any means, but it wasn’t “terrible”, although I still thought it was stupid and pointless. I understand that Adam Marcus tried to finish off the series after the inevitable sequels, but it was stupid and pointless.

Jason is only in this film for ten minutes. That alone should tell you something. It’s more about zombie-like creatures rather than Jason. Also the ending was so stupid and terrible. The kills were actually okay, but still they could have been better than what we saw here.

Overall, Jason goes to hell is a pointless and unnecessary sequel. While it isn’t god awful, it still needs to improve on quite a bit.

Some good gore & Kane Hodder’s presence are about the only thing that keeps this one afloat. I’m glad Jason didn’t stay in hell, but more so I wish this mess of a movie hadn’t been made.

The beginning was pretty cool. This movie has some good gore, and Kane Hodder is still awesome, but I think that the Jason looks kind of bad in this one. I know it’s supposed to represent 10 years of killing and being defeated, but it just didn’t look right. Still an ok Friday film.

Not the finest film in the series, but most certainly not the low point. While the lack of Jason himself is disheartening, there is still quite a bit for gorehounds to appreciate. The tent kill is possibly one of the finest murder scenes in any of the Friday films.

Jason goes to hell. I found this concept intresting of how jason could change bodies but I think the graphics at the ending were a bit over the board with those Lame hands coming out the ground. I like how the film says Jason was taken to a clinic in Youngstown Ohio at the beginning and I am about 5 miles from Younstown. Over all i think it was a upgrade from Part: IV,V,VII,VIII: but as you can tell Jason never offically went anywhere but (Jason X) space.

I always thought this was the worst Friday. Jason had already mimicked the “unstoppable serial killer” gig from Michael, but here he’s even after a sister and her daughter? The fact that Jason in his usual form isn’t really in this movie too much isn’t what kills it- it’s just not handled well- none of the possessed bodies are all that creepy. All along Jason knew how to shave and was apparently a big fan of the clean cut look… Better yet, if someone had just stabbed him with a magical dagger a long time ago he would have never had to deal with telekinetic chicks with daddy issues and the harsh streets of mid 80′s Manhattan.
I know this was New Line’s first Friday film, and maybe there where issues getting the rights to the score that fans by this point have come to recognize as sort of a Friday the 13th trademark. Jason in any form without the “chi chi chi, ha ha ha” is like a terminator flick without a character saying “I’ll be back”. Maybe this is where the movie sort of irritates me? It just doesn’t feel like a Friday the 13th flick.
I do remember seeing Jason Goes to Hell for the first time when it came out on video and being really excited about the last 30 seconds though. For a massive horror geek, it almost made sitting through the whole film worth it.

Not as terrible as most fan’s say it is. The storyline is both the film’s strength and weakness. Strength because it’s something fresh and new for the series. Weakness because it’s not all that original (The Hidden anyone?) and people want to see Jason killing people, not Jason inside people killing other people.

That aside the film is lots of fun. Good cast, decent direction, great gore (unrated version baby!)and an entertaining finale.

you have to watch this one with an open mind that, Newline tried waayy to hard to change Friday’s story. though there are some really cool deaths and jasons makeup is real gnarly, (i still wish they wouldve used that make-up in more movies),it’s kinda funny to see Kane Hodder make fun of himself too. and i have no idea why Jason shaves that dude, i thought he liked having a beard, until his face melted to the mask.

Well the only real downside is that we don’t see much of Hodder. Still “Jason Goes To Hell” brings all the elements of the these camp classics. I thought the movie was shot well and the way Jason manhandles people in this movie was bad ass. Weird storyline approach but they have been running with the same gimmick for a long time. How cool was it that Hodder ends up part of his own body count? Respect. New Line picked up the franchise and they had to do something with it. Could of been a little better, but could of been a lot worse.

“Jason Goes To Hell” catches more criticism than it really deserves. People who say this is the worst “Friday” movie have obviously never seen “Freddy vs. Jason.” Now THAT was a catastrophe.

At least the Jason in this movie was resourceful. He used anything and everything at his disposal to kill. In “Freddy vs. Jason,” every kill that wasn’t accidental (with the exception of the lame double impalement and the equally-lame 180 degree head twist – both computer generated) featured a very hokey machete. And speaking of hokey, what about Ken Kirzinger as Jason? His costume is SO stupid and since when were we supposed to feel sorry for Jason? At least in this movie, he doesn’t lose his menace.

I also like this movie better than “Jason Takes Manhattan” and the 2009 remake (even though I like those two as well) and it’s definitely better than “Jason X” (even though that movie is VERY fun to watch). “Freddy vs. Jason” is the only movie in the franchise I don’t like.

This also has quite a bit of intentional humor and it works well. I laughed at this movie and “Jason Lives” more than any other movie in the franchise.

The cafe massacre also tops anything in “Freddy vs. Jason.” Even the criminally overrated folding mattress scene. It’s just that bad ass.

Unless you count that end scene as him going to hell.
That’s like giving away the ending in the title that’s like calling titanic Jack dies.
And why did Freddys grab the jason mask at the end?

The fans reacted badly to Roy Burns so why would you do another without Jason? If you dropped all the body switching thing and replaced it with just Jason this would have been a lot better because this has one of the coolest looking Jason’s i’ve ever seen. It attempted to refresh an already dead franchise and as expected turned out badly. The beginning scene was great but I feel that should have been the end would have been a great sendoff for Jason. Also Freddy Kruger makes a cameo well sort of…

I was expecting “Jason Goes To Hell” to be as absolutely terrible as “Freddy’s Dead” due to all the poor reviews I’ve heard (although I did
find Freddy’s Dead really, really entertaining) but technically, this installment is less laughable than Freddy’s Dead (could be a good thing,
or a bad thing depending on how you look at it) and it seems to break away from the somewhat tedious clichés the “Friday the 13th” franchise has seemed to live with its entire life-span. OK nothing makes sense, but at the end of the day its a Jason Voorhees film, so so what if its completely loony!

Interestingly, the film opens up in an unpredictable fashion. The series thinks that it has its followers wrapped around its little fingers so that you think you know what’s going to happen, but it actually goes an entirely different root. Now I can imagine that this would upset fans because it means that we hardly get to see Kane Hodder play Jason because he possesses other people for the entire film. However, one of these people becomes the policeman from “Bean” so that’s fine by me. I also think that it gives some interesting
scenarios with characters thinking that they know who someone is, when the don’t.

Of course some absurd death scenes do occur, which are all marvelously entertaining as ever, and with some interesting ways of getting the message across that unprotected sex is bad! As the film progresses it becomes more and more absurd, however it does have much more of a clear narrative drive than Freddy’s Dead and the characters are people who
you end up caring for more. There are also some fantastic practical effects, notably when one of Jason’s possessed bodies begins to melt and the finale ends up being quite an exciting battle, with a satisfying ending.

Howver, what I don’t get is why there are a couple of really random horror film references just thrown in there such as the book of the dead from “The Evil Dead” and Freddy Krueger randomly popping up! They make no sense because there’s been no references to these before. But whatever, whats a few more absurdities thrown in going to do? Jason
Goes To Hell is a fun entry to the franchise that attempts to break away from those tired Crystal Lake clichés and it does so in a typically entertaining fashion. It’s also much pacier than other installments. Although it does contain less laughs that Freddy’s Dead, that’s because its not laughing at its expense.

Official Score: 3.5 / 5
