Wow. All I have to say is WOW. I have seen some bad movies in my lifetime, but this one takes the word ‘suck’ to a new level. Any movie that stars Corey Haim in the last 10 years is bound to be a major flop. Not only does Haim star (if you want to use the word star) in this “movie”, but he is also joined by Saved By The Bell actor Mario Lopez. It is clear that Haim is still a major drug user, because no one in their right mind would make this movie unless they needed a few extra bucks to put up their nose.
The movie begins with a man killing his wife with an axe while the surviving child watches from the attic door. The father tells the child the evil is with both of them as their eyes glow green. Then the daddy somehow kills himself with the axe. Fast forward x-amount of years, typical college, typical students. Haim invites a few of them to spend the weekend at the ‘evil’ cottage on the lake.
3 girls, 3 guys, and a bizarre hick town where the country folk are all scared of the evil in the lake. Enter the tough ‘unbelieving’ sheriff, the ‘all-knowing’ Indian, and the country waitress girl who helps fill in the background legend. While in the house the gang act like potential victims, and play games like Truth or Dare and Hide and Go Seek (like college people act like that). They hide, they make out, they get axed. And I bet you can figure out who the boy from the beginning is? A retarded blind deaf mute would have this movie figured out after 23 seconds.
If you want a good laugh, check this movie out. I laughed out loud several times during this movie. The acting is among the worst you will EVER see. The un-special effects are lame. The budget was less than $100.00. Just wait till you see the Indian guy saying “THE EVIL IS NEAR”. You will die laughing. If I could give this movie zero stars I would.
