5 Great Lines From ‘House Of 1,000 Corpses’!!!

While I may not be the biggest fan of most of Rob Zombie‘s movies, I can’t deny that there are some fantastic, quote worthy lines throughout his films. They’re sharp, often hilarious, and have no subtlety whatsoever. READ MORE

Devil's Rejects

The 5 Rob Zombie Films From Worst To Best!!!

Rob Zombie is most certainly a talented visualist, but he’s an inconsistent storyteller. That being said, I’ve found something to appreciate (and dislike) in almost all of his films and I figured now would be as good a time as any to take a look at his filmography. If anything, he does deserve some credit for having his own vision. READ MORE

Forget ‘Stake Land,’ It’s Time to ‘Exit Humanity’

John Geddes’ Exit Humanity blends live-action and classical animation to explore how when in situations of severe horror, we must find hope through the very fears that drive us. Starring horror icons Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses), Dee Wallace (E.T., Cujo), Stephen McHattie (Pontypool, The Watchmen, 300), and new horror hero Mark Gibson, Exit Humanity is a zombie saga that tells the tale of the ultimate battle of good vs. evil. New Behind-the-Scenes Video from Uni Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights!

There’s still an excruciating 44 days ’til Halloween (Silver Shamrock), but Universal is helping you get your fix on much sooner. Starting September 24th, the two theme parks (located in Hollywood and Orlando) will be transformed into horror-themed meccas, with completely redesigned Nightmare on Elm St and Friday the 13th mazes, plus an all new House of 1000 Corpses maze, which is in 3D (actually called “Zombievision” – so it will make everyone look like a degenerate redneck?) as well. There will also be an original maze called Vampyre (I wish it was based on the 1930s German movie, that would be amazing). The Saw maze, introduced last year, will also return. Check out the exclusive video below for a new look at some of the mazes, and head to the Universal site to order tickets. See you there! (more…) READ MORE

Top 10 Offscreen Horror Kills We Wish We’d Seen!

While there’s certainly a time and place for subtlety in horror films, sometimes you’re just in the mood to see some good old-fashioned onscreen bloodletting. Forget what the media tells you; watching senseless, gory murder after senseless, gory murder is a relatively healthy way to get out your frustrations. After all, it’s only make-believe (at least for those of us able to distinguish fantasy from reality). That being said, some of the most effective movie murders have actually taken place off-screen; whether through the use of sound effects or the mere suggestion of violence happening just beyond that closed door, what you work up in your mind is often more terrifying than anything the filmmakers could show you. Nevertheless, there’s always a part of the gore-hound in me that can’t help but feel slightly cheated by a quick cutaway just as the killer is about to finish off his/her victim. There are tons of examples I could cite, but the following ten are the ones that stick out most in my mind. (more…) READ MORE
