Synopsis

Featuring a narrative roller-coaster rush, an up-and-coming cast, gruesome special effects, and a never-ending sense of impending doom that culminates in a sucker punch twist ending, "13 Seconds" is not to be forgotten......ever. A sprawling turn of the century academy, a billboard charts band fueled by deceit, and an art gallery that comes to life with graphic paintings revealing each character dying a horrible death that just begins to hint at the real terror lurking behind everyone of us. "13 Seconds" boldly mixes "The Shining" like chills with the rapid action pacing of "The Terminator" which challenges the viewer to solve its mystery. It is a compelling thriller that devilishly destroys one cliché after another while speeding towards a shocking, surprise ending that comes complete with crawlspace chases, séances, a malevolent art gallery, and an unstoppable evil older than time itself.

When you hear the words low-budget independent film, what do you think of? I think South Park hit it dead on the nose when they implied that Hollywood has taken over the independent film industry. Was Richard Kelly’s debut film Donnie Darko really considered independent and low budget when funded by millionaire Drew Barrymore? For gods? sake, she even starred in it!
