The best horror/comedy ever filmed… and one of the best zombie movies ever made. This rivals any of Romero’s efforst and Dan O’Bannon’s brilliant, ‘Return of the Living Dead’. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are wonderfully likeable heroes, Edgar Wright’s direction is impeccable, and the violence/laughs are non-stop. Fantastic film.
i loved this movie!!
a perfect mix of comedy/horror i’ve ever seen with some of the funniest zombie kills i’ve seen in a while….
=]
Wonderful story, wonderful camera/editing work, wonderful acting…There is nothing bad about this movie. Shaun of the Dead is as close to perfection as any horror/comedy fan could hope for.
funny and great
Wait, 2 seconds… Shaun Of The Dead is incredible from start to finish and never misses a beat. It is insanely gory and wickedly funny. This movie is easily one the best zombie films of all time! Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are an excellent duo and are equally as awesome in Hot Fuzz. The next time they hook up in a movie like Shaun Of The Dead or Hot Fuzz, you be certain that it would be a kick@$$ film.
really gave the zombie genre the much needed boost…though not in the way u would have expected. Watched it yesterday, and it is one of my all time favorites .
When I first saw advertisment for this movie I was thinking it was slamming my favorite kind of movies but once I saw it I couldn’t help but love it. It’s gory and funny and just a kick ass movie. I love this movie and it’s on my Christmas List for this year!
One of the funniest horror movies I’ve ever seen.
Easily one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. Absolutely priceless homage to and parody of zombie films, with that perfect British twist. One of my all-time favorite movies of ANY genre!
This film is hilarious, the one liners are great and they have fantastic characters. I also love the way its so laid back, you can just sit back and let the tv do all the work. The storys funny as well as original. Whenever theres a film with simon pegg and nick frost directed by edgar qright you know it’s gonna be an absolute hoot! This is a must watch! BUT BEWARE! The humour in this is very british!

one of the best horror/comedy/zombie/apocalyptic movies ever made, and one of the only tolerable romantic comedies out there. love the characters and their british sense of humor. written very well for a movie that has so many genres within itself. love how they make fun of the zombies and their genre, without doing it negatively. i mean it’s obvious that wright and pegg grew up with and love zombie movies as much as any other horror fan. idk, i can’t recommend this movie enough. even if you’re not a fan of british comedy, if you love zombies, then just go ahead and buy this.
HATE with a damn passion!
Great movie.
Brilliant!! I never would have thought a comedy/horror would be this good. I consider this more of a horror movie with some comedy splashed in, the scene at the bar was gorefest and I loved every minute of it. If George A. Romero was pleased with this film then that is saying alot. You can’t get any better then Shaun of the dead!
best horror comedy ever!hands down.
Funny Funny Funny.
Great F’ing movie..hilarious ,yet gory,great combo.
Ill keep it short and sweet. if you like zombie films, and like hilarity. Then by all means. Buy this. A great tribute to fantastic movies.
without a doubt one of the best movies ever. I can watch it over and over and never get tired of it. Fuckin’ brilliant!
Shaun of the Dead fucking rules and it was hilarious! They need to make more movies like this. The kind of like Comedy/Horror style films.
Words can’t describe how awesome this movie is. No really it’s impossible. Just fucking watch it already.
Perfect example of how comedy and horror can work together.
This movie is amazing!
Simon Pegg does a brilliant job
Has to be watched if you havent already seen it
What a funny movie, I laughed through the whole thing.
great movie! Had me laughing through the whole thing.
One of my favorite zombie movies. Laughed my ass off through the whole film. Plus, it has Bill Nighy (if I spelled that right) in it, who happens to be one of my favorite actors.
the most brillant zombie-movie of all time
This movie made me dream about snuggly zombies. Strange but true.
Don’t watch it if you hate funny things, or British humor, or zombies.
Do watch it with your best friends, a case of Mike’s Hard Lime and a huge bowl of cheesy popcorn. Cheesy and delicious, just like the movie. Then loan it to all your other friends so they’ll know what you mean when you tell them “You’ve got red on you.”
Shaun Of The Dead is comedy horror at it’s best. This proves that the British are the best for everything funny, and scary! A modern, stylish twist on zombie rampages, gore, guts, heads and shot guns, everything a good zombie horror should be. Shaun Of The Dead is hilarious, it’s funny one liners, hilarious cast and great funny zombies make is a side splitting adventure, literally! The soundtrack, acting, plot, script, horror, gore, blood, everything in this film is done perfectly, all the way until the amazing climax. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are at full throttle here, and will have you lauging for days!
10/10
This movie was perfect gore, humor, pretty good acting. Hands down the best zombie-comedy ever made IMO. Never get tired of watching it.
Best combination of comedy and horror!
Hilarious and over the top. Don’t miss it.
The best zombie comedy out there. It has gore and hardcore laughs. Such a good movie.
Awesome horror comedy! I love the outakes, because some of the stuff is so damn funny the actors can’t even keep from laughing!! Simon Pegg is awesome and I love the slow moving zombies- those are REAL zombies
I love this movie!
Very funny
Great movie, very funny. I didn’t expect it to be so good because it was a horror comedy it really stands out to me as not just a great comedy but just a great zombie movie.
The best and only zombie satire movie you need to see. The only unfortunate thing is that this movie has gotten such praise that TONS of zombie-comedies had come out afterwards, all trying to ride this movie’s coattails.
One of the first romantic comedy. With zombies witch is he best ever horror film with laugh and zombies with romantic this some the best Brtish film that come out this decad and this has culture Epic all over it soo glad I have seen it =]
totally a great movie, especially the part that has Queen’s “don’t stop me now” playing on the background. Main characters do their job well in this old school zombie style -respecting movie. Way to go, Britain
Greatest horror/comedy ever
Still the best horror comedy around.
Shaun Of The dead is exceptional. One of my favorite horror comedies. I believe it is better than Zombieland. The acting is superb, The comedy is hysterical, and The zombies are vicious. All in All, Shaun Of The Dead is a great film that is both scary and funny all at the same time. I highly recommend it.
Let’s get this straight, Simon Pegg is not funny. Never was, never will be. So, bearing in mind that we have established that the main character cannot act nor do comedy it only remains for me to warn anybody with a basic understanding of wit or humour to avoid this film like the plague, this one is for kids only.
often imitated, never duplicated. Shaun of the Dead is THE movie most people think of when you think of zom com. i know people who don’t even LIKE zombie movies who love this. the scene in the Winchester with Don’t Stop Me Now playing in the background…priceless.
Could of used a more Elemental ending. Oh well,Simon is the reason why I love UK films
A really cool zombie film. Gets better with every viewing. (There’s lots of funny litle details that people seem to miss the first time around.) A bit of gore, but that’s not what this film is about. A must see in my opinion.
highly enjoyable and a hilarious horror comedy.
Nearly perfect in every way. One of my absolute favorite zombie movies.
The perfect comedy. filled with laugh able moments this is a film to remember. worth watching many, many, many times
Great lines, great actors, hilarious scenes. Enough said!
LoL
This movie is the epitome of dark humor/ horror. Hot fuzz was a pathetic dissappointment.
Personally, i didn’t find this funny.
one of the best comedy zombie movies:)
one of the best comedy zombie movies:)
What’s all the hubbub about? I guess I don’t get British humour. This movie is ooohhh soooo cheeky. Meh. I would pass on this if I were you, but I’m not you so you might like it. Why you would like it, I don’t know.
Hilarious zombie movie. this movie is so full of win
This is a very funny movie. If you like this movie you should watch Hot Fuzz it has Simon Peg and Nick Frost!
“Shaun of the Dead” is a flawless, hilarious British comedy that deserves my personal pick for “Best Comedy of the 200′s”. Sure, there were a couple more that were great (one of them being Edgar Wright’s follow-up film to “Shaun”, “Hot Fuzz”). Oh, how I enjoy this film immensely.
What works so well about “Shaun of the Dead” is that it lives in a world where everyone acts like a zombie. Even our heroes do; retiring to the couch 24/7, and when an actual zombie apocalypse is on the rise, they manage to survive only because of their slacker-skills. That right there is a “slice of fried gold”. It’s enough so that I have taken this ride many times before, and I love it every single damn time. Wright must be a freaking genius.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are an unbeatable duo. However, Wright is kind of the glue that keeps them from falling apart; and he (along with Pegg) wrote some pretty clever dialogue. Aside from the pure golden dialogue and clever one-liners that both Frost and Pegg deliver, the other actors in the film to genuinely well. There’s so many damn British people that you almost feel overwhelmed. I know that I did.
I love this movie, I love Edgar Wright, and I love how the zombies- as a plot element- work so well amongst the slacker characters. Perhaps it comes to show that even if you’re fat, you can still wield a blunt object that will allow you enough time to live. I mean, the character of Ed lived longer than a man so overweight probably should have. That gives me some great hope, people. And it should do the same for you too!
This is the ultimate horror comedy. Wright and Pegg’s bromance is in rare form, and the overall film is certainly a blast.
Great horror comedy.
Love this movie. Horror comedy at it’s finest
I don’t like the misc with comedy and horror. But this film is very good.
Best zomedy ever. Period.
Hobo Approved(TM)
A truly funny British zombie comedy seen it several times. Plus I love the homages to other zombie films
Not just a parody, but the best zombie movie since Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.
Pretty damn funny. I love the fat slacker roommate and how people in general seem to act like zombies anyway … prior to the outbreak. Good for some belly laughs and cheap entertainment. This movie goes well with some friends and a few pints. It’s a good thing guns are not illegal in this country. Those poor Brits will be in real trouble when the zombie shit hits the fan. LOL.
There aren’t very many horror films I would consider perfect. Horror comedies especially. But this is one that most certain is. LOVE this flick.
Hilarious, and sometimes a little tense. A must-see if you like zombies.
ALMOST as good as Hot Fuzz. Damn, these guys are great together.
Great use of comedy, lovable characters, I felt like the tense/sad part when they’re in the bar, was a little out of the frame of the movie. It was comedy up until that point, then it just felt awkward. It would’ve been a great scene if the whole movie was strict horror, not comedy. But hey, still one epic movie.
Amazing movie. So funny. Great zombie parody.
The film is a testament to the variety possible in the zombie genre. It’s a nearly perfect blend of horror and comedy, and the timing is excellent. Tension builds, and sometimes the climax of a scene is shocking action, but equally as often, a funny gag breaks the tension. It’s creepy and hilarious. I loved it.
This is such a funny movie, I can watch this film over and over again.
