TIFF ’10: New Stills and Poster Debut for ‘A Horrible Way To Die’

*FULL DISCLOSURE: Editor-in-Chief Brad Miska of Bloody-Disgusting received an Associate Producer credit on this film. Premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival this year is A Horrible Way To Die, which stars AJ Bowen (House of the Devil, Hatchet 2, The Signal), Amy Seimetz (Bitter Feast), and Joe Swanberg. Directed by Adam Wingard (Pop Skull) and written by Simon Barrett (Dead Birds, Red Sands), the film tells the story of an escaped serial killer who goes after his ex-girlfriend, who has fled to a small town to start a new life. Lucky attendees will be watching the director’s own print with BC hosting a rare Q+A with Director Alex Turner and Writer Simon Barrett! I’m personally excited as I’ve only seen this classic on DVD. New Video Podcast: ‘Horror People, Dear Reader’!

We’d like to welcome a new podcast to the lineup here at Bloody-Disgusting that I think a bunch of you are going to really dig. Horror People, Dear Reader is a video podcast that features our own BC and screenwriter Simon Barrett (Dead Birds, Frankenfish), and possible guest stars, cracking wise as they watch public domain horror movies, while at the same time you get to enjoy the film (yay technology)! The first in the series is Cathy’s Curse, a 1977 Canadian horror film about a foul-mouthed little girl who is possessed by her dead aunt.
