Harlin’s ‘The Covenant’ Casts and Preps Shoot

Sony Screen Gems has tapped Renny Harlin to direct The Covenant, an adaptation of the popular comic book. “The Covenant” graphic novel features a story that takes place prior to the events in the upcoming movie and follows a group of four families whose patriarchs wield a vast eldritch power. The official website for Sony Screen Gems’ Underworld: Evolution was launched today, but there’s nothing going on except a teaser poster image and a place to register for updates. You can still watch the trailer and check out images in our database. Len Wiseman’s sequel to the $100 million worldwide hit continues the saga of war between the aristocratic Death Dealers and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). The film traces the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines. Sony’s ‘Underworld 2′ and ‘The Grudge 2′ Get New Dates

Variety reports tonight that two more horror movies have made some date changes. The first is Sony Screen Gems’ Underworld: Evolution, which shifted from December 9th up to December 2nd. Sony Screen Gems also announced a date for Takashi Shimizu’s The Grudge 2, which is now tentativly slated for an October 20, 2006 release.
