Just about as good, if not better, than the original. There is more blood, guts, violence, creatures, and characters this time around. Oh yes, and more blue tinted lenses!
The underworld films are what I would imagine Michael Bay would make if he could ever calm down on the explosions a bit and direct a mediocre horror movie. Very video game-ish, “Underworld: Evolution” already has an audience in mind and it sets out to satisfy it. The over-the-top mythos and action of the first film are doubled in this sequel. My favorite improvement is the new Werewolf designs, which look somewhat similar to the designs in “Dog Soldiers”.
This sequel also spices up its sex appeal and we get a sizzling sex scene between Scott Speedman and Kate Beckinsale’s pale bodies!
I guess it goes without saying that if you enjoyed the first film, you’ll enjoy this one. Otherwise, I can’t imagine this sequel turning any new cheeks.

Not as good as the first one because it feels as if it took things from it instead of trying to make it its own film. It did have a great idea though with going back to the origins which doesn’t seem original but this movie made it seem as though it was.
It’s probably worth watching. Nothing special though.

WHY please tell me why they feel the need to mess up a good story line with porn ??? This could have been as good as the first but they mested it up!!!!!!!
I thought that underworld evolution was an action packed movie with fantasy creatures and full on gore.
Storyline: I honestly forget as I watched the pure action and hardcore violence that filled this movie. 8/10
Acting: The acting was good enough. 8/10
Special Effects: The effects were the best thing in this movie. I absolutley loved the non stop action and fast paced gun fights filled with lots of blood. The werewolves and vampires looked very real and the violence also looked realistic. 10/10
Best Scene: The end battle by far. 10/10
Ending: Main vampire killed, the good guys win and the movie finished with me wanting way more. 10/10
Overall the movie was KICK ASS!!!!!! Screw the plot and bring on the action. This movie had some of the best action scenes ever, they were so good that I just wanted more of that and nothing else. This movie has a wonderful charm that will never be matched and I give it 10/10 just based on the action. Now thats generous.
Movie was O.K i guess but god dammit Beckinsale is so insanely, oh my god friggin jesus H christ HOT — nothing else matters much. the whole movie could be her walking around in that outfit while eating a banana… and ide still give it 10 stars.
I think this takes what made Underworld so awesome and improves on it by taking it to a whole new level of kick ass! Definitely my favorite of the series.
THis movie was excellently done and continues the story perfectly. Alot of good action and gore as expected with a few twists that make it a terrific movie. Amazing job done in the making of this movie.

Amazing sequel who brought new awsome characters to the already amazing story and took it up a level. I can understand that some people dont like this series, but I enjoy the hell out of them. The story is perfect, bring on the next one in the series.
I thought the first couldn’t get any better but fuck was I wrong.
Underworld Evolution is way better than the first and is as good as the first but improves on what made the first movie good(see my reveiw for underworld)
Best vampite film ever!
I think this film is very under-rated. The action is good and the effects are not bad. I would recommend this more to an action fan than a horror fan though.

I thougt this was worse than the first one. Kate Bekinsale is still sexy and Scott Speedman does turn into some pretty badass creature.
A good sequel, this one has more action, creatures and gore plus you get to see more of Kate Beckinsale as the sexy vampire Selene.
Maybe even better than the first.More action, More gore, more thrills, MORE KATE!:) Very stylized but just amazing! I love these films even three was pretty good, just missing Kate! Maybe four will bring her back!
Underwold 2 the sequel to the introduction to Underworld. The revival of the elder Marcus and the end of Victor. From my point of view the elder Marcus and his Bat-Human-Appearance is a welcome diversification to the “normal” Human-Vampire-Appearance in movies. However, in comparison to the first part the movie does not reach the same level of entertainment. In some sequences the movie reminds of Bram Stoker’s Dracula hunted in his carriage adapted to “modern” times with a truck.
Overall the movie is very watchable and entertaining.
Right on par with the 1st one. Excellent movie.
I’m in the minority with this I know, but I actually enjoyed this movie more than the first! The action was ramped up even higher, the creatures more plentiful, and I found the story even more enjoyable (though a touch confusing at times…call me blond!). An excellent sequel!

I love this gothic like vampire horror film, The acting was great and the effects were amazing who wouldn’t like this movie?
I didn’t like the first film so I skipped this one. I watched and enjoyed Rise of the Lycans so decided to give this one a shot. I’m glad I did. In fact I really enjoyed this movie. I though the “blue-ish” look worked very well. The creature design, especially William the Werewolf, was great(nice featurette on this in dvd) and some of the stunts were fantastic. While the overall story isn’t the greatest it is more than enough to keep one interested. Definitely more action than horror but quite the ride.
alot like the first film but still pretty good. i like the fact that scott speedmans character becomes both vampire AND werewolf. a nice little twist to the story i think. the musics pretty good too.
