Frank Borin is no longer attached to direct. Originally written by Michael Hidalgo, Butcherhouse is a darkly comic horror stage show about four high school students out to discover the truth behind a mysterious old (haunted) property known as the Butcherhouse. Susco also has been developing The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D for Twisted Pictures. No word on where that project is at. (more…) READ MORE

Raimi’s Ghost House Preps Two More Remakes

Their track record isn’t all that impressive as Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures has brought us multiple Boogeyman, Grudge and Messengers films, along with a bunch of other disappointing direct-to-disc films. While 30 Days of Night was a pretty solid flick, Sam Raimi has proven he’s still a master of horror with his upcoming Drag Me to Hell, which makes me wonder how much input he’s really giving to these films. Either way, Ghost House has announced two more horror remakes, one of which was already revealed here on Bloody-Disgusting a year and a half ago. Read on for the story. (more…) READ MORE

I’m 100% Onboard… Get Me ‘Infected’!

As we all know remakes are like a virus in Hollywood, and every week or so there is a new one announced- but what’s truly rare is when there’s one that really needs to be remade. Today New Line Cinema obtained remake rights to 2004 Japanese hospital horror film Infection, which I’d say is basically a Japanese ‘Re-Animator’ that really lacked a slime-filled finale. Now New Line has the chance to make things right, and B-D is super pumped! Read Buzz’s review of the original here, or read on for the skinny… (more…) READ MORE
