Dominique Swain Swims Into Tomaselli’s ‘The Ocean’
Dominique Swain has joined the cast of The Ocean, a new horror picture from filmmaker Dante Tomaselli (Satan’s Playground), which finally looks to be getting off the ground.Blockbuster reports that the Lolita and Face/Off star will play the daughter of Dee Wallace (E.T.) in the movie, set to begin filming in January. The pic, also written and composed by Tomaselli, centres on a psychic who travels to Puerto Rico after a death in her estranged family, then is confronted with haunting visions she does not understand. Dante Tomaselli’s ‘The Ocean’ Finally Preps Shoot!
We’ve received word this morning that Kindred Media Group will be producing Dante Tomaselli’s long-delayed horror film, The Ocean. Word on the street is that principle photography will begin in March in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. The Ocean will star Margot Kidder (Sisters), Vincent Pastore (Return to Sleepaway Camp) and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) with cameos by Judith O’Dea (Night of the Living Dead), Ellen Sandweiss (The Evil Dead, My Name is Bruce), Edwin Neal (Texas Chain Saw Massacre), John Fallon and Lynn Lowry (Shivers). The Great Judith O’Dea Takes a Swim in ‘The Ocean’
Dante Tomaselli scooped Moviesonline that he has cast Judith O’Dea (Night of the Living Dead) in his next film The Ocean. Dante writes, “The script is almost finished. I plan to shoot THE OCEAN in the fall. Since it’s an independent film, the shooting schedule will probably shift a bit. But you can be sure I will make this movie no matter what.” The Ocean is about supernatural riptides terrorizing a coastal community.
