Not actually a sequel to 3 Extremes; came out before, but after the success of 3 Extremes they rereleased this.
Memories: the best of the bunch. Creepy, unconventional, intriguing. Waiting to see how it all gets wrapped up is part of the fun and satisfying when it finally all culminates at the climax.
The Wheel: Oh boy, lame city. About the spirit of this puppet master that corrupts his own puppets and they terrorize the village… or something. It’s not totally clear what the hell’s going on, EVER. And never actually ever seeing the puppets doing anything is a major let down. When the ending finally reared it’s ugly head, it’s unclear how the hell it’s ACTUALLY an ending; it just feels like any other plot point. When the credits pop onto the screen it’s an unpleasant surprise to an already unpleasant experience.
Going Home: I’m not going to divulge the plot because, much like with the first story, knowing the story isn’t something you SHOULD know going into it; it almost ruins the experience. Anywho, it’s got it’s moments and the story telling is great. Lots of cool imagery and a continually disturbing vibe keep it alive. The ending is pretty vague, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing in this case; leaves you wondering.
