It’s getting 2 skulls for the potential it had…

Urban Legends: Bloody Mary had potential but it was bogged down with too much confusion!

    * Why was Mary killing people using Urban Legends? What inspired her? Because she is one?
    * Why did she kill some people in person but not others?

This movie had some stuff going for it as far as plot went. The acting was OK for straight-to-DVD for the most part, save for a few lines near the end (i.e. the anger management issues comment).

I wasn’t expecting much, I had just hoped it would make sense! It’s really too bad this one just didn’t add up! If you wanna buy it I recommend renting it first!

    Very predictable.
In fact, I figured out the reason Mary killed people in a matter of seconds long before even watching the film.
    Typical.

For a good Bloody Mary retelling, watch episode 5 season 1 of Supernatural.

Wow was this movie awful. Not even the so-bad-it’s-good type of film. It was just so bad, it was bad. There is absolutely zero things to like about this movie. The story is heavily uninspired, the acting is horrendous, the special effects are laughably bad, beyond predictable, numerous plot holes, and tons of cliches. Not even that but it’s boring and uninteresting. Awful.

This movie was SOOOOOO much better than Urban Legends Part II: The FInal Cut. That movie was just horrible. If this movie had been a straight-to-cable horror movie, I would give it a great rating. It’s not bad, the story is okay, and I gotta say the death scenes are pretty impressive for a lame sequel (my favorite scene is the spiders!) Overall, it’s not the worst movie I’ve ever seen.

terrible filming and terrible acting, but the storyline itself was pretty good. bloody mary being one of the most popular urban legends. shame the film just wasnt what it should have been.
