Guillermo Del Toro’s 2001 film The Devil’s Backbone will finally be getting a blu-ray release July 30th from the Criterion Collection, which means it has a stunning new transfer and a boatload of extras. READ MORE

The man has directed Cronos, Mimic, The Devil’s Backbone, Blade II, Hellboy, Hellboy II and Pan’s Labyrinth. He’s produced The Orphanage, Splice, Julia’s Eyes and the forthcoming Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. Filmax provided Bloody-Disgusting with a small teaser image from Exorcismus, which sees Luis De La Madrid directing from a screenplay by The Devil’s Backbone writer David Munoz. The film will explore the popular horror theme of exorcism, focusing on a young girl, Suzy, whose erratic behaviour forces her family to bring in a priest to try and resolve the problem through hypnosis.
