Jst want to comment on Brad Miska’s review. He is asking ‘what’s the point?’ of the movie THE ECHO. The point is Brad Miska didnt really focus on the movie. He doesn’t even know that the main character is named MARVIN not BERT!!!! Hahahahaha Bert is the temperamental cop NOT the one who moved into the building (which is Marvin)!!!! Hahahahaha Such a shame! BD REVIEW (specifically Brad Miska) is not credible enough! It’s really a shame!
The Echo is a Filipino movie. I am half Filipino and has been living in the Philippines all my life.
Filipino Movies SUCK!! But Filipino Horror movies are the worst of them all!! I am a bit proud to be a Filipino because we have a low standard of happiness. But I am embarrassed at our race because we make such ass-wipe films.
If Hitler were alive today and saw about 3 consecutive horror films, he’d switch from killing Jews to exterminating Filipinos.
Just because there’s an American remake of this crap doesn’t mean that the Filipinos are getting any better at movie making. Am guessing the people who decided to remake this was just as delusional who made the original
Yes, a Filipino won the Best Director Award at Cannes recently, but every race is entitled to one fluke every century.
I might get assassinated here in my country, but someone has got to speak the truth:
PHILIPPINE CINEMA SUCKS.
I have to say it is a terrible shame when a reviewer does not take the time to watch a film fully. Shame on you Brad Miska! Getting the characters wrong is so amateur, it takes away all your credibility. And making broad comparisons to Japanese cinema is just ignorant. It infuriates me to no end when people complain that Asian movies are so similar. Would you complain about a zombie film? Because all zombie films follow the same formula. Each genre of horror follows it’s own loose formula and yet no one complains when we have yet another Hostel type movie out there. (For the record, I also love Hostel)I would highly recommend Sigaw to people who are interested in paying full attention to a great atmospheric film.
