terrible movie. terrible acting. terrible writing. terrible generic effects. they used a lot of the annoying “shake the camera to hide the horrible gore effects”. terrible music. absolutely horrid. the birds were the most ridiculous thing i have ever seen in my life, and not in a “so-bad it’s good” way; but in a “so bad it’s goddamn terrible” way. the jokes were dumb, i don’t understand how anyone could find anything funny in this movie besides the occasional dialog that was so stupid, and the delivery by the lead actor was so horrible it was funny. only positive was the occasional make up job that was decent.

Alright first of I want to say that the acting was so shitty and almost ruined the movie for me. I mean it was so bad. The overall movie was sweet. Ya the special effects werent great but it was good for a low budget horror film. I will say there is tons of gore though so if you like that you are in for a treat. This movie is worth checking out.

Gosh…It’s gonna hurt to give this a bad review because I really respect Robert Kurtzman and KNB EFX Group (even though he isn’t w/ them anymore…) KNB has done some of my favorite efx ever. Robert Kurtzman has also been intimately involved in some of my favorite flicks too, namely From Dusk Till Dawn.

BUT…this movie pretty much sucked. I even went into it expecting bad acting, low budget effects and was ready to experiance it like the filmakers intended…like a mega B grade drive in “just for fun” date movie. I tried, honestly, to like it.

I just couldn’t do it. I even fast forwarded at least three times!

The movie was so boring at parts, the acting and dialouge so infantile that I had to fast forward to the gore to stay interested…

The Gore: Pretty good makeup effect throughout were unfortunately ruined often by the RIDICULOUS “scary shaking camera” technique, bad visual effects, and even bad angles and lighting. It claims to be a “gorehound’s wet dream” but really feels more like a nap.

Sorry Kurtzman…hopefully you can make some money on this thing and do better next time.

I heard this was supposed to be campy and somewhat of a B-grade indie flick. That it was, That it truly was…
it’s already been said, whatever this movie had going for it, which wasn’t anything redeeming anyway, was completely lost when the CGI buzzards flew in. Dodge this at all costs. The only kind of person who would dig this, is the kind of person who already owns this thing.

I could not even sit through the first 30 minutes of this disgrace.I fully understood the movie would be low budget and somewhat campy going in, but come on.This is the acting I have seen in ages. Shame on Robert Kurtzman for creating such an abomination to the horror genre.

The acting sucks, the story wasnt all that sweet and the gore was ok…BUT I CANT AND WONT EVER BE ABLE TO GET PAST THOSE FUCKING RETARDED LOOKING MUPPET VULTURE THINGS! It would have been an average but kind of fun movie if it wasnt for that.

Not that I had extremely high expectations for this movie, but I thought it kind of sucked. In every way possible. Not sure what, if any, redeeming quality it could possibly offer. Not to mention that I absolutely hate it when movies insist on using a CG effects that they can’t afford to do. Those vultures were god awful.

Had a cool opening but got incresingly nauseating as the film progressed because of the bad CGI and very poor cinematography.

It’s a shame too because it could have been a cult classic instead of a dud.

The gore and zombie/monsters could have saved this movie but just didn’t do it. Really bad movie. Even with the great gore I couldn’t get into it.

First off, ignore the bad reviews of the bird effects. For a film made on the cheap – or any film, really – they are amazingly good. All the make-up work is too. The script, however, is an excuse to move from gore scene to gore scene. The cast are trying to look engaged but have nothing to work with. The process shots in the van (looking out the front window) are very poor, almost laughable. Next time, have a story about better fleshed out people and it’ll make all the difference. I would only recommend this to gore-effect nuts.

I think splatter hounds may find something to like in this movie. The gore is intense and cool, and there are some crazy looking mutants in this film. However, the acting sucks, there is too much CGI, and the whole film gets pretty stupid near the end. I don’t think too many people will like this film. It’s amateurish and trashy, and it’s only fun in intervals.

I thought this movie was entertaining, despite some of the CGI being terrible.

Official Score: 3.5 / 5
