Bleh. Yeah yeah yeah, the girl who was always picked on dies and her curse lingers and yadda yadda yadda. You know the song and dance. The twist is even more asinine.
Maybe it would’ve been better if it was the first asian horror film to have a young girl with her hair brushed over her face killing people but, alas, it is the 103rd.
Interesting and well-narrated Asian ghost story, unfortunately pretty underrated. Sure, the story itself is not very original and there are just too many things we have seen before in movies like “Ring”, “Dark Water” or “Ju-On” (f.e. girl with black hair, ghostly water etc.). Nevertheless it’s a must-see if you like Asian horror: very atmospheric and extremely scary with an excellent cast, brilliant cinematography and an ingenious script full of terrific twists and with an awesome ending.
