Synopsis

"Joshua" is the tale of Brad (Sam Rockwell) and Abby (Vera Farmiga) Cairn, perfect Manhattan parents in a perfect Manhattan apartment whose perfect life begins to crack after the birth of their second child Lily. Shortly after Lily arrives home, a dark side of prodigy son Joshua (Jacob Kogan) slowly begins to reveal itself.

A dark psychological drama involving the increasingly evil behavior of a 9-year-old boy, George Ratliff’s Joshua brings to mind that supremely cheesy Frodo Baggins relic, The Good Son, which featured a Home-Alone-milking Macauley Culkin throwing mannequins off bridges and shooting cats with nail guns.
