Never fails to creep me out. The storytelling method of this simple ghost story is impeccable. Better than the first theatrical release of Ju-On. Not that that one was bad either. This one simply had more thrills, suspense, chills and scares. This film simply reinforces that the Ju-On/Grudge series is one of the best bunch J-Horror, or J-Horror style films out there.
Not nearly as good as the first but it has it’s moments. Typical sequel fare: the original’s formula with a splash of something to try and spice things up.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still better than most American horror films.
The best Japanese horror series ever!
not as good as the first but still very good
Much better than the first in my opinion. This was much creepier and held my interest until the end. However, it was very confusing. The story kept flipping back and forth from one character to the next, jumping tome zones and I didn’t know where I was. The second to last character story completely lost me I didn’t get that at all. I think upon multiple viewings it’ll become clearer. The ending also was unclear although very creepy. Overall an enjoyable farce, just told in a way that doesn’t make much sense.
Way better than the american remake.
