Mehhh this wasn’t to bad, a typical run of the mill crime story, with some boost up violence against women. Pretty cool how things wound up. The dude was fucking crazy. Acting was top knotch though Casey carried this film. Wasn’t to bad of a movie and wasn’t to good.
Not bad. Pretty brutal when it comes to the abuse these women endure.
had an interesting start, lost me towards the end
This film is absolutely brilliant !
Casey Affleck, who gets better with each performance, dominates this movie like nothing else. His performance will surely net him at a best actor nomination at next years Oscars. He truly is a revelation.
His character, who is haunted by some very ugly childhood memories is one of the coldest, sickest psychopaths ever seen in a film and Casey is chilling in the role.
Not only is Affleck a standout but so are the supporting players. It’s great to see actors like Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba, who waste their talent in rom com fluff, get a chance to truly flex their acting muscles. Hudson in particular does exceptionally well.
This film is gaining notoriety for it’s scenes of violence, and rightly so.
It really is brutal, stomach churning stuff and it is hard to watch, but it doesn’t feel misogynistic, regardless of what some critics have said.
People who love film noir and tales of violence will eat this up with a spoon.
This is my film of the year
I didnt like it surprisingly, because everything about it i would normally love. The cast, the film noir feel, the darkness, even the similarities with American Psycho and Blue Velvet but for some reasopn i didnt like this movie. Probably because i didnt know why he was doing anything he did. he actions seemed random and the everything seemed to happen for no reason. Its like i wasnt even paying attention, but i was i swear! lol i think i was. And the shitty CGI flames at the end kinda brought me down. All and all, its a disapointment and a missed opportunity.
I highly did not enjoy The Killer Inside me. It’s a movie I would enjoy too but I just didn’t enjoy it at all. Casey Affleck is like the gayest psycho ever put to screen and the movies just too fucking weird. All In All, The Killer Inside Me is incredibly lame and I do not recommend it at all.
This movie silently rocked. Alba’s “kill” was insane. Casey was smooth and calculated. His was a revenge (of his brother) than ran so deep he used the most loving and delicate oeople in his life as meat puppets, just to see it though. Dark, yet so normal looking on the surface. Best as a concentrated watch with a significant other or family member, than a group viewing.
I thought this movie was pretty good. Casey Affleck did a very good job, I liked how u didn’t know what he was thinking and why he did what he did.
i like this movie . casey is cool . but i have big fucking problem with winterbottom movie!
Great movie… Definately one of the best this year…. 8.5/10
the word perfection can’t describe that movie
after I read the book, which was magnificent,I expected more from that movie which didn’t pass to the audience the messages of the story and of course it wasn’t good enough to be an adaptation of Jim Thompson’s masterpiece
on the other hand,Casey Affleck was very nice as a psychotic killer and his acting reminded of Anthony Perkins in Alfred Hitchckock’s Psycho, where a nice, calm and likable person is the God of violence
I’m a long-time fan of the Jim Thompson book, and this is a pretty faithful film adaption. The only thing keeping me from giving this a perfect score is the miscasting of Casey Affleck in the lead role and the short screen time for Kate Hudson’s character. C’mon, Casey Affleck? Puke. He fucks up every movie he’s in. He WAS good in that Jesse James movie with Brad Pitt because he was playing a pussy. How this joker has a thriving movie career is beyond me. He needs to be punched in the face every time he starts to mumble his lines or roll his eyes.
Read the book, and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
A great movie despite the cgi explosion…
