Comedian-turned-actor Dan Aykroyd joined “Larry King Now” to talk about all sorts of stuff, including the long-gestured Ghostbusters 3, which seems destined to eventually happen. While Bloody Disgusting was the first media site to bring you story details, Aykroyd speaks in more detail to Larry King. READ MORE
Some slight news on Sony’s Ghostbusters, which will apparently not be shooting this summer since writer Etan Cohen is still only about halfway through the script. The good news is that Dan Aykroyd is apparently inspired by some cool real-world scientific discoveries that they could use to bridge over into the supernatural universe for the sequel. READ MORE
Bill Murray doesn’t have an obligation to the fans to star in Ghostbusters 3, let alone any movie. In fact, many Bloody readers have sounded off that they don’t even want to see the sequel. But alas, Sony and Columbia Pictures continue to tweak their proton packs for a third battle with the undead in New York. READ MORE
Hot on the heels of Sony deciding to shoot their new Ghostbusters in the summer, they’ve now lightly applied the brakes. They’re going to be making some decisions about the film this spring, which in all likelihood would preclude a summer start. In fact they’ve said as much. READ MORE
Hiding within an article over at Deadline, they report that Kevin Costner and Ivan Reitman’s football feature Draft Day is being put in turnaround by Paramount as Ivan Reitman will begin shooting the new Ghostbusters next summer. READ MORE
While Bill Murray repeatedly slimes the idea of Ghostbusters 3, Columbia Pictures, along with director Ivan Reitman, and stars Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd, continue to push forward with the misadventures of Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Raymond Stantz, Dr. Peter Venkman and Winston Zeddmore. READ MORE
Ah, Ghostbusters 3. I’m sure you’ll be terrible. That’s not some snarky online reflexive writing – I love to love things – but it looks like this project is just creatively circling the drain and that it’s sole reason for existing will be the cash. Fairly soon we might actually have a third film, which means the balance in the universe will have shifted. We’ll have one great Ghostbusters and two bad ones. And now one thing’s for sure – Bill Murray Won’t Be In It. We all knew that was coming, but here it really is. Once Dan Aykroyd admits to this, that means the last person on earth who was holding out hope has finally given in. READ MORE
After over a year of jabbing by Bill Murray (who apparently shredded one of the scripts and mailed it to the producers), and watching Dan Aykroyd talk around the issue, something official has been announced regarding Columbia Pictures’ long gestured Ghostbusters 3. READ MORE
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Bill Murray will probably never reunite with Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson for Ghostbusters 3. I’m not sure if he hints that he’ll do it out of a genuine sense of curiostiy in the project (or paycheck) or if he just likes seeing how high Aykroyd will jump to accomodate the possibility. READ MORE
Bill Murray will probably never reunite with Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson for Ghostbusters 3. Yet he occasionally will dole out some kind of info and dangle the carrot a little bit. Does he like f*cking with Dan Aykroyd that much? Maybe. In the below interview with David Letterman he seems to be considering the prospect when he says, “we’ll try again.” But, honestly, I just don’t think it’s in the cards. READ MORE
My home town WGN recently interviewed the elusive Bill Murray who has once again reinvigorated our hopes of seeing him reunite with Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson for Ghostbusters 3. He also shared his aspirations to see the Cubs win the World Series. Which is more likely? Probably neither… READ MORE
