Schmidt’s ‘Bad Meat’ Takes Major Hit

Terrible news comes in via Deadline Hollywood this morning as they’ve reported that the Capitol Films fiasco has taken an even worse turn. A few weeks back it was reported that Rob Schmidt was forced to close shop on hislatest horror film, Bad Meat, due to insufficient funding. Capitol Films was supposed to provide the missing dough and has left Schmidt and his crew twiddling their thumbs. No word on what the next step is, but we assume it’ll be finished at some point – hopefully a new investor will come in soon! Rob Schmidt’s ‘Bad Meat’ Begins Casting!

We were informed this afternoon that Tiger Aspect Pictures will be producing the next horror film from horror director Rob Schmidt, who is best known for Wrong Turn and the upcoming Alphabet Killer. The project once titled Bad Meat was written by Paul Gerstenberger and follows a shipment of tainted meat turns the authoritarian staff at a youth detention camp into cannibalistic monsters intent on devouring their terrified charges.
