Just awesome old school 80′s fun. Nothing like the original in this name only sequel. Reminded me alot of Nightmare on Elm St. Part 4. Everyone should check it out some awesome death scenes and some great nudity.
better than the first.
Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II reminded me of A Nightmare on Elm Street… It was far flung from the first installment’s story but pretty entertaining!
The best of the Prom Night series, and a great horror movie from the late 80s.
this was just fucking stupid…i admit i havent seen the original and the remake was ok(i gave the remake a higher score than i should of now its wortha 5 or 6 out of 10) BUT THIS WAS JUST HORRIBLE…i’m sure the original was better than this…the first ten minutes were really good and besides that nothing…i couldn’t even finish this i stopped halfway through..the only reason i’m giving this a skull is because the girls boyfriend is relly hot
In no way related to the original, except in name only, and that’s a good thing, because this is actually entertaining! It’s campy 80s fun, but it’s actually fun & there’s some enjoyable & inventive kills.
okay, when i asked for a “Prom Night” with the word “horror” in its name, i did not expect this.
an understandable back story for Mary Lou, but a boring story indeed. they should’ve made it that Mary Lou is a zombie that had awoken due to the new school prom and decided to kill a few people just to get to the principal who killed her in the first place!!!
that would’ve been a better story, but instead, she just comes back to life, inside a girl’s body, and says stuff that doesn’t make sense. in fact, why didn’t Mary Lou possess the principal and make him kill himself so that revenge is done?
Absolutely awful movie. Mary Lou’s demise in the beginning is the only salvageable offering in the entire 97 mins. Started laughing at the horrible 80′s cheese synth music at the intro of the movie and the goofy 80′s clothes and hair—-made the disco tunes/rags/’dos of the original look good (seriously)! lol. Bought this dvd at WallyWorld for $5….I paid $4.75 too much for it.
A sequel that has got nearly nothing to do with Part 1 but is surprisingly more entertaining. Story is nothing special, actors are average, but there are quite a few very funny, very scary and very tense scenes, plus some really good-looking effects.
