Hisss is a very difficult movie to review. In that the acting is decent and the cinematography is beautiful (shot in India). It even has a few funny moments. But the cgi is pathetic. And the last half hour seemed to drag. I can’t recommend it but I’ve seen much much worse.
An interesting myth I wasn’t familiar with packaged in a beautiful monster movie! The transformations are amazing, but the one explicit attack scene used too much CGI and looked like a syfy movie. The practical effects and the less is more concept practiced throughout the rest of the film is much more effective and less distracting. The characters are well fleshed out, and the mother-in-law steals the show.
