Cannibals On the Rise In ‘The Colony’ Trailer and Poster!
Although it has been acquired by Image International for here the States, EOne has slated The Colony for release in Canada on April 12. The sci-fi thriller about a group of underground survivors after the next Ice Age fending off an invasion of feral cannibals stars Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Zegers and Bill Paxton, which makes for a stellar cast. Patrick Tatopoulos Plans Bug ‘Colony’ Battle
Special effects maven-turned-helmer Patrick Tatopoulos (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) is in negotiations to come aboard Participant Media and Summit Entertainment’s eco-horror tale The Colony, reports Heat Vision. Stacy Title and Jonathan Penner wrote the script, which was rewritten by David Lee Johnson. Colony revolves around a group of survivors forced underground by the next ice age. There, they must fight to preserve humanity against a savage threat. It has been described as The Birds with bugs. Production begins in the fall. Tatopoulos is responsible for the creature designs in such films as I Am Legend, I, Robot and the first two Underworld installments. (more…) READ MORE
