Well, I just got done seeing this movie and going through the list of Fangoria frightfest films for this year, I have to say this one was pretty good, but not as good as Grimm Love was, perhaps I just have a darker part of me that more sought how the story played out in Grimm Love, but oh well. This movie for what it’s worth is mostly a gorefest film with a twist at the end that really is predictable. It makes for a good time consuming watch, but not something that would be put into cult classic status or really become main stream among avid horror film lovers.
Some cool looking camera tricks and creepy ghosts (Like the one on the cover) are really the most that came from this movie. The acting was dreadful at times and the unnecessary yelling/screaming, left you irritated. The digital effects had there moments, but for the most part looked cheesy. You need at least one likable character, and I couldn’t find one. Worth grabbing if your running out on your horror list, but nothing more.
My goodness, that movie was really, really stupid. I expected some kinda entertaining haunted-house-cheesefest, but all I got was a lousy and awfully pointless rubbish.
The first 5 minutes are quite ok, the rest just sucks: a lame plot, a poorly paced and written script, the dialogue is bad, the acting is mostly horribly annoying (time to retire, Mr. Combs!)
and it’s packed with loads of absolutely terrible special effects (I HATE CGI BLOOD!!!!!).
Avoidable crap.
I liked it
It has some minor issue but its very good!
This was awful totally and I was expecting something better then what I saw. They need to come up with better horror movies.
Ugh…fast forwarded through most of it. Started out interestingly enough, then went south fast! Boring, uninspired, bad CGI. Enough already.
It really wasn’t that bad. I bought the movie before reading the user reviews and I watched the movie after reading them. At first I thought I did a major mistake buying but in the end I liked it. I though the plot was somewhat original and it was a major cheese fest. The really good parts were some of the acting. Most importantly Jeffrey Combs who really gives an interesting performance with really funny quotes at times. But there’s also there was this crazy ghost woman who really was fun to watch. What sucked the most was the fucking CGI blood though. I hate that crap. It’s unacceptable in a horror movie.
Overall, did enjoy this flick. Yes, there was lots of CGI effects, but I thought it was done alright. The story was decent and the acting was decent as well. The effects were great, which made the movie. Some really freaky parts some of the actors. Worth a watch!
It was pretty good. average.
Pretty scary and entertaining movie I liked the goth girl.
Entertaining film.Good plot with some bad acting.Jeffery Combs was good as always! The special effects were Craptacular.CGI blood should be banned from Horror!I watched it for free so I didn’t feel ripped off!
Just another dull, uninspired crapfest, churned out by people who obviously could care less about the genre. Don’t let the creepy box art fool you into wasting your time, this one’s a dud.
