The trailer made it look interesting. But the execution of everything was just awful. It was just a bunch of sweaty people yelling at each other and Val Kilmer starring off into space only to get yelled at by a cop. Other than that it had a pretty interesting (enough) storyline. But that alone cannot save it.
The Chaos Experiment staring Val Kilmer the method actor that mainstream Hollywood forgot. Old Val has always been a favorite of mine and his work in this film is not exception. His bodylanuage and his portrayal of a scytsophrenic scientist is absolutely brilliant. This film was a fun ride until the ending. Six singles… three guys and three broads go into a sauna thinking it is part of a dating program. Only to find out that they are locked in. Their situation has changed they are not socialing with strangers in a relaxing steam room. But rather trapped in a oven with strangers who are in a sence of panic and rage as they slowly dehidrate and roast. Watch as they turn on one another as their panic turns into intinctual paranoid hate. Watch as these six ginnie pigs fight with each other and try to find a escape. Who will live and who will die to barrow a quote from another one of Mr. Kilmer’s movies the futures uncertain and the end is always near. This film is 14a down here all that their is in this movie is foul language, a topless chick seens of violence and spilled bean juice. Human bean juice. A intense movie that keeps you guessing until its fall apart ending. 6.5/10
