Dispite having Wynona Ryder in it Beeteljuice is a great movie. Tim Burton’s light hearted take on this family film reminds me of Willy Wonka creepy but fun. I love this movie one of my all time favorite’s from my childhood. How any-one couldn’t like this movie boggel’s me. I think it’s smart funny and it has BATMAN himself Michael Keaton. I mean HELLO it fucking rocks!!!
I totally give Beetlejuice 10 sand worms out of 10 sand worms.

Classic. Beetlejuice is so iconic. The effects are great and stylized to perfection. Hard to say anything bad about it. Accept for maybe “what the hell happened to Alec Baldwin?”

Fantastic movie that put the wonderful Tim Burton on the map. The entire cast do a great job, especially Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin as the unhappy spooks. Great supporting cast including Catherine O Hara and Jeffery Jones as the uptight Noo Yawk couple who take over the house, and of course Winona Ryder in her breakout role. But the main attraction is the superb Michael Keaton as the sleazy as a used car salesman, Beetlejuice. He is clearly having a good time playing this guy and the role fits him like a glove. A great mix of black comedy, undead thrills , make up effects and of course, Michael Keaton. If you want Tim Burton at his very best then don’t hesitate to watch this. A classic.

the best of Tim Burton’s film career so far.

when comparing him to his performance in ‘Batman’ and ‘Batman Returns’, Michael Keaton was extremely awesome, and funny.

the best that Tim Burton has ever made so far

A very twisted and fun movie with likeable and odd characters. The visuals and special effects are wonderful and this movie hasn’t aged at all. Micheal Keaton is brilliant yet is hardly even in the film. Danny Elfman’s wild score just tops it all off.

    A definite must-see.

    Outstanding classic oozing with class.
First watch at around 10 years old promoted multiple nightmares that were soon overshadowed by other, more ‘intense’, horror-related films.

I have lot of love for this film.

Beetle-juice, Beetlejuice, Beetle juice ahh how I love this movie as it an all time classic to me as I was never allowed to watch when I was young (but I did), it’s still the best movie of its kind in the Top 10 of Tim Burton, Michael Keaton, Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin, Jeffrey Jones, Winona Ryder & Catherine O’Hara Movie careers. What scares me the most in Beetle-juice is where he turns in to that snake & freaky me out when I was little, but not soo much even know it still scares me with moment of jumpy scenes in the Movie is one of the greatest last 80′s Fantasy, Horror & its charming dark humour, with a huge great set of cast & remember performance & a fanatics director the one & only Tim Burton himself made a classic epic/masterpiece for his film career.
The Movie has perfect line, gags and character devolving, also with terrific make-up & spooky chilling stuff in the film, with loveable & amazing actors (bus one or two I just silly in our days sadly), it has its funny & hilarious moment in this Utley classic movie that sparks out dark humour & delight scares & aswome fantasy magic, the movie has a great plot/storyline & ace special effects for its time in the late 80′s and of course the great mind of Tim Burtons world of Movie making. The Movie has a super soundtrack for the movie, genius themes & a excellent thrilling, spooky & hip theme tune for this movie as the movie was well acted, well crafted & well directed by a legend, while having a decent creepy gothic & dark senesce of good old Tim Burton & the actors genius humour.(I Love the ending of this movie).

I just revisted this movie again recently. And it is still amazing as when I saw when I was a kid. Some crazy effects still hold up to today standards, even though they are cheese. The acting is amazing. And this was keatons best performance. I hope they make another with him in the role. And if this was made today it deft would be PG-13 for sure LOL…

I liked the old idea of the script too.

“The original script was a horror film, and featured Beetlejuice as a winged, reptilian demon who transformed into a small Middle Eastern man to interact with the Maitlands and the Deetzes. Lydia was a minor character, with her six year old sister Cathy being the Deetz child able to see the Maitlands. Beetlejuice’s goal was to kill the Maitlands, rather than frighten them away, and included sequences where he mauled Cathy in the form of a rabid squirrel and tried to rape Lydia. Subsequent script rewrites turned the film into a comedy and toned down Beetlejuice’s character into the ghost of an wise cracking con-artist rather than a demon.” That’s from IMDB.

Pretty cool idea. LOL they should make that one.

Another beautiful film by Tim Burton, its deliciously imaginative and the effects look wonderful! Tim’s glouriously dark humour shines through this film, but its the imganitive and original story and set pieces that lift this film up to become a true classic
