As most of you know I am a Twilight fan. A TwiHard if you will even though I refuse to address myself as that because it’s on a different level of dorkdum than I’d like to be apart of. I throughly enjoyed the books after they were forced upon me. They actually reinspired me to start reading and working on my writing again. As the first film approached I eagerly awaited it. But upon seeing it for the first time I was extremely dissapointed the film felt amateur and so much of the stuff I had loved in the first book didn’t seem to be there. Stewart was good but her performance seemed a little off and Hardwicke’s direction was mediocre at best. The best thing about that film was smokin hot Robert Pattinson and the electric chemistry he had with Stewart. But being the fan I was I decided to revisit the film and started to like it. I started to like it alot. It was easy to admit it wasn’t a great film by any means but there was a certain charm to it. A real guilty pleasure I grew to love. After that I reread the books (a few times) and found myself eagerly awaiting the sequel. But despite the hype and incredible trailers for it. New Moon was the least favorite book of my series and Deep down I thought okay get ready to hate it but it will grow on me after a few viewings. Well I just got home from it. And it was freaking AMAZING!!!!!!! The film is not only a close adaptation of the book but it really nails the formula. The film feels larger and more epic than its predecessor and maybe thats because it’s supposed to be. But it also feels professionally executed with a real style to the proceedings. Sure Rob Pattinson is good, And Taylor Lautner’s abs do well enough but this is Stewart’s movie. And she is amazing. The unbelievable amount of heartbreak she manages to convey in her compelling performance is tear jerking and award worthy. On a technical level the cinematography is breathtaking. The film is filled with a lush atmosphere and eye catching explosions of color and surrealistic depth. The underwater sequence in particular is award worthy and I would be surprised if any film came remotely near it this year. The score makes the film feel so large and dramatic and the film’s soundtrack is cleverly added in. The screenplay is good enough but it’s the direction that really makes this film soar. Weitz responsible for the horrifically bad Golden Compass seems to be in his element film the film never drags, moving at a wondorous pace. It’s romantic and the weirdness of its concept and the actual book is perfectly captured on feel making for a truly creative and thought provoking film. It’s that good. The film is also really funny. Weitz adds some much needed humor into the film so that you find yourself laughing through tears at time. It’s that good. If I could change anything I only wish that sam and his pack were given a little more screentime I found them to be a charming and talented group of guys. Now I went in as being all about Eward in fact I can’t even contemplate why there is a Team Jacob but after seeing the film although I’m still all about edward I find myself sympathizing with his charachter and even liking him a little. Now I may be a bit biased in this review or just really overexcited. Only time will tell if my opinion of the film goes a little downward or possibly gets better . But for now let’s just Twilight Saga new Moon is one of the best films I’ve seen ever.

I feel like I have to tell the bloody disgusting world how bad this movie really is. I just walked out of the theater. I went with my girlfriend who loves the series, but I couldn’t stomach it. The acting is atrocious. It is a materialistic, pop-culture disaster that makes me sad to see what a majority of the world consider a good movie. The characters are hallow and dull. There is no rhyme or reason for the actions Bella takes. The movie actually pisses me off. It’s so bad that I was laughing at a majority of the lifeless, dull, MTV dialog. What crap!

This is not horror, but this is a very good fantasy/thriller/love story where if you take it for what it is youll enjoy it! the ending really leaves you hanging and wanting more or at least to just find out what the fuck happens to these people, truth is you watch the first movie where meyers put so many lame things in the movie like the super hero powers the vamps have, the gilliter faces, etc where you feel like its a bad movie, but you cant stop watching because you want to know what happens.. meyers versions of vampires is a differnet take and she invites you into her world, so take it for what it is! i just have to say the only thing that does piss me off is the pg-13 rating.. at least give us an R dvd release for christ sake!

This movie is for teenage girls we all know that. Of course its a love movie with vampires and werewolves.. keeping true to the vintage vampires “Dracula” where it was about romance and love. This movie is not that entertaining if you are looking for action and suspense, its melodrama at its finest. I for one am a huge True Blood fan so this movie is a complete lackluster. I do like Robert Patinson he does seem like a cool guy and I dont down him for playing Edward Cullen, hell I’d play him with all the success and money. Kristin Stewart sucks. The Taylor guy he might be cool I dont know, but this movie is really about Abercrombie & Fitch fighting over a girl who would seem to only care about flicking nail polish off her nails chewing gum saying “I dunnt caree”

everyone has their personal opinions so im not gunna complain about BD’s review, but I do disagree. I thought it was really good! i am a big fan of the series, and to be fair, yes they didnt follow the book quite as much as i would’ve liked them to. But then again, what movies ever do? i thought the acting was really good. Rob and Kristen are what i would’ve pictured Bella and Edward as. Taylor Lautner is a good young actor, but the whole shirtless thing was overrated. But the story liek was very good and easy to follow. I think they went in the right direction picking Chris Weitz as the director. He envisioned it good and was faithful to the book. The movie really did live up to the hype. there are ALOT of movies that get so hyped up and you’re disappointed at why everyone was going insane for that movie. I don’t think Bloody Disgusting should follow the saga, its not exactly the movie for them to be following, and not everyone on here will agree with the movie, as most people who go on this site are BIG horror fans liek myself. It isnt the site to look for the most positive reviwes. But, what can i do? the movie at times was a bit corny, but i think it was that people arent used this type of movie. It had a lot of heart and humor. To make the movie more exciting, they added action at the right moments.
overall i’m impressed and REALLY satisfied, i think all fans will be pleased with it. Better then the forst i think. 8/10 :)

Suprisingly I actually liked the first movie. I took my two teen daughters to the premier of each. BUT this one, come on there’s more complete story lines in porn. no climatic ending nothing. Tons of potential, with the werewolves and all, but where is the fighting. For that matter where is the romance? If they are mortal eniemies why do they do so much talking to one another and nothing else. This movie was as enjoyable as a rerun of days of our lives. try again…

It pisses me off that a GOOD vampire flick like 30 days of night can’t get a theatrical sequel but this crap gets one (and another one coming in june , i saw the poster yesterday at my theatre.) I never thought there could be a more Emo vampire than angel from buffy..but enter edward cullen, this movie just is depressing, as the characters seem like they’re one tear away from slicing their wrists, and frankly that may be more entertaining. Vampires are demons, not light bright bling once sun hits. i hated the first one and the same goes for this, the mere thought this crap could give my beloved dark knight a run for it’s money in the box office makes me want to throw up. long and boring. Buffy is waaay too extreme for people compared to this crap, and the characters are actually likable.

i saw the movie last night and i think it was an awsome epic movie to tell you the truth with all the romance that in this 2hr and 10min movie it was worth it to see and i’ll see it again to cause you can say twilight and new moon had an ultimate mix of romance action and suspense which all leads to the third installment for next year so this movie i recommend if your a hardcore twilight fan such as myself and like to see some action then this movie is for you and that was hot when the volvutori and edward was throwing down in there palace can’t wait for eclipse

All those IMDB Twihards are coming here to pump the rating on this awful film. They’ve raped Vampire mythology. Sparkling skin?
The reason vampires could only come out at night was because they were evil, and nocturnal! NOCTURNAL!!!!
    They pissed all over lycans!
Lycans that look like GAP models that turn into wolves at day with the worst CGI ever.
The moon, lunar, represented the other of oneself. The reason Men or women would become a monster in the full moon was because the full moon represented the unmapped, uncontrolled other self.

It seems Stephanie Meyer couldn’t give two shits and made this load of bollox.

I saw New Moon At The midnight showing along with twilight and let me tell you….
NEW MOON IS AMAZING! (WARNING SPOILERS FOLLOW)
i love the opening so much with Bella’s nightmare with her grandma
    i thought that was perfect!
i thought the actors that played Bella’s friends were terrific i always thought they were but in this one they are hilarious! and all in all the movie had a lot funny moments
the scene were Edward leaves Bella was perfect
Kristen was amazing (as she always is)
    Robbert was awesome
every actor in this movie rocked.
i loved the whole dear Alice thing were Kristen narrated.
ok now onto Jacob im so glad they kept Taylor he deserved it for all the work he did to get to be in this movie.
and he was terrific. and the wolves were so awesome i cant even explain it the effects were so good.
and Victoria was awesome even though she wasn’t in it that much im mad they are getting a new actress for her.
i loved all the scenes with the wolf pack i think those actors did a great job playing them. and i loved the Emily part. even though i knew (read the book) what was going to happen when Bella was running to get Edward it was still suspenseful and when the little girl saw Edward i was like whoa! i thought they did really good with that scene
ok the volturi fight scene was so just AWESOME i was just like oh my gosh they Effed Edward up! and Dakota Fanning was terrific.
    i love that whole scene
and everything after that was good its a relief to see Bella happy again with Edward back.
    and the ending.
wow! even though it didn’t end like that in the book it was really cool how they ended it. it just gave me goosebumps haha
all in all the movie was a 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,(many more 0′s) out of 10
i loved it the same as twilight and i cant wait for eclipse!
im seeing this again and again and again :)

If I had not read the book I would have hated it. The movie was okay, Taylor Launter was sinfully hot and burned the screen. The two hours dragged with Kristin’s Stewert’s painfully bad acting. Robert Pattinson kinda sucked too, but I think it was more of the crappy melodramatic lines he was given. I was very bored near the end. They could have done so much more with this movie, but they relied too heavily on the actors lackluster abilities. Taylor Launter’s shoulders may be monsterous, but they are not enough to carry the crushing weight of this snoozefest.

I went to see it on Friday with a bunch of my friends. I’m really not into Twilight, but my friend had an extra ticket.

Anyway, when I got there, there were TONS of girls sitting on the floor in a long line for Twilight… and they all gave me the same death glare all at once. It was frightening, but the scariest part was getting seats.

Everyone got up as soon as the guy came to open the doors and my friends started making tactics on how to get good seats. She told me to follow her and just keep running as she fell, which I thought was funny until I found out she wasn’t kidding O_o . I was soon scared cause we were in the front and the girls behind us looked vicious, and let me tell you, they were.

The line started moving as the man shouted “NO RUNNING!” As soon as he said that the high pitched screaming and pushing frenzy started. I lost three of my friends and followed the other four into the darkness of the theatre. Girls pushed and shoved me as I tried getting up the stairs and the screaming continued. Finally I made it up the stairs and as I walked towards my seat some girl STUCK HER FOOT OUT and I tripped and almost fell. I looked behind me and it was the girl who was sitting behind us, who was also giving me an evil stare. -__-

Long story short the only good part of this movie was Jacob.

My friend wants me to go to the third one… maybe if I buy a sheild, a flashlight, and I’m extremely bored with nothing else to do.

Holy shit this was awful. I haven’t laugh so hard at some the shit in this movie EVER.. LOL how classic was it when she said I’m coming, and he said I am coming too LOL oh boy and when she called the dude beautiful. The action was decent. Best part was when the dude got ripped in half. And when they played muse, even though I couldn’t hear it. BOO, oh and seeing with my best friend who’s a girl.

Thats about all. Everything else was a piece of shit. Jeez and that ending. I am not adding spoilers so fuck that. COme on. Bella would you married me. and it fades out. I was like oh please don’t be the ending. And what does it do fuckin end. Holy shit. At least give me a proper ending. Not a fucking story book ending. FUCK THIS FILM. And it’s not a vampire film so stop saying it is. One vampires don’t appear in picture’s and sunshine. Fucking 12yo girls go to hell. I am done venting. I am giving it a 2 for the things I mention above. At least the first one was decent at the most, this was just thrown together and rushed.

This movie turned out to be much better than the bad reviews had me expecting. The story was interesting, the characters hot, and the action a little more fulfilling this go around. But no matter how much I enjoyed it, there’s no denying the cheese, bad drama, and unintentional humor! There’s REALLY something wrong with a girl if she repeatedly has screaming fits in the middle of the night while thrashing around in bed! All in the name of love?!? Seriously girl, forget the brooding vamp and be the alpha bitch in your new pack of wolf hunks!

OK first, please God BD stop promoting these movies… leave it alone already. After being dragged to Twilight in theaters by my girlfriend (she loves the horribly cheesy books), I can honestly say i enjoyed Twlight… it had its moments and the cheesy, horribly sappy dialogue was bearable.

So anyways… naturally I told my girl I’d take her to this one and man oh man, I REALLY want my 2 hours and $22 back. I felt like I could literally see the hormones being lurched from the disgustingly packed teenage girl audience. The entire thing was was a HORRIBLY played out love fest which felt like watching a really badly scripted daytime soap opera. And my GOD, I may think Kristin Stewart is absolutely gorgeous, and I’ve even liked her in OTHER movies in the past. She was HORRIBLE – the worse character as she was so over-the-top irritating with her “oh boo-hoo my vampire boyfriend left me, what ever will I do!?”… and then “oh no, I really like this other sexy dude, who, OH CRAP, is a warewolf!!”… followed by, “oh crap the vampire wasnt serious when he left and still loves me, but OH Crap vampires and werewolves don’t get along, oh crap!”….

The two redeeming factors that made this movie a 2 instead of a 1… I liked the “classic vampire” played by Michael Sheen aand I thought Taylor Lautner was a far better/more interesting character AND actor than Pattison.

SOOOO… unless you are a pre-pubescent little girl who has never seen a penis before, Stay the Hell Away from this movie.

I just feel the need to point out the fact that every good reveiw or thing i’ve heard about this movie centered around or at least noted how hot the male leads are. Having hot leading actors does not make a good movie(anyone remeber the second Resident Evil movie?).

I love this installment of the adaptation of Stephanie Meyers epic novel series. I would not categorize it a slasher horror film though.

Chris Weitz did an incredible job as the director. The stand out performers were Kristen Stewart and Taylor Launter. They both have grown into their characters quite nicely. This time men were being objectified in this film and I loved every minute of it.

Although this film is not a Anne Rice story being told, it is still a story worthy of telling. If you are looking for gore, this will not be the film for you.

I enjoyed the romance between Bella and Edward, but also enjoyed Jacob being mostly in the film helping Bella pick up the pieces when Edward feels he must leave her side.

The art direction, sets, costume designs were beautiful. Even the CGI was no too cheesy. I am looking forward to Eclipse next year.

Let me start off by saying I enjoy all genres of horror from the classics to the gore. Some of my most favorite recent flicks include: Inside, Let the Right One In, Eden Lake, The Orphan, Trick r Treat, The Midnight Meat Train and the 3rd installment of Underworld.

Now for the review: Good god folks just because this is a chick flick doesnt mean you have to automatically hate it and I believe that is the reason most do. Going into this movie I was not expecting True Blood but the Vampire Diaries and much too my amazement (sarcastic response)thats exactly what we got so please folks dont act surprised(you know what type of movie this was going to be). I realize this movie was far from perfect from the non-violent tendencies to the ugly creature (Robert Pattinson, damn that dude is disturbing to look at) but worst of all was the Siberian Huskey, starring as the Werewolf (This could have been done much better), but there were some good parts to the movie including very good production value and the acting. The story was ok at best but all in all I had an ok time with this flick.

I really odn’t know the websites problem with this franchise I find them to be pretty good.

First of all let e say though these arent horror movies New MOon had some really suspenseful and heratbreaking moments.

KIrsten Stewart improved from her acting in twilight and her performance brough tears from my eyes when edward left and whe she was in bed screaming because of the nightmares. Robert Pattinson did a lillte worse than he did in twilight but it was still a decent performance and Taylor lautner was brilliant.

This =mvoie played out just as i had imagined it when i read the book

but there wwasnt the same score from the 1st one and my second viewing of the movie dragged on a little bit but its still a good movie

I totally loved New Moon. I’ve never seen a movie twice at the theaters within a 3 day period before, but yet like a junkie craving a fix I was there on line buying a ticket for the second time. Usually the way it goes with sequels the second film is never as good as the original; but NM was a rare exception. Even though the screen time given to my dreamlover R. Pattison was reduced significantly, NM still satisfied my hunger for all things Twilight. Of course the count down for Eclipse is on especially w/ the ending proposal in New Moon. I even heard that Breaking Dawn, a subsiquent sequel in the franchise may be sp;it into 2 seperate films based on NM’s box office sales. At this pt. the more the better. The Vampire craze is the New “in” thing for Hollywood. Notice Eclipse is scheduled for a June release rather than Nov. 2010 If Eclipse delivers the way New Moon did than I’m sure we will be seeing alot more of Bella & the Cullens in the near future. I was so satisfied by New Moon that today I just bought my bootleg copy to hold me over until it’s officially released on DVD. Hopefully it will be out by Feb. 2010 I wouldn’t be surprised if they release it for Valentine’s day, since it is a love story. Until then, expect that my blackmarket DVD will be skipping severally, if not completely non functional.
For the record, “SHOT OUT”!!!! to ‘Team Eduard’.

It was a good movie if you went for a laugh. There may have been a few too many never ending revolving shots that leave you dizzy. Edward was either brooding, in slow motion or shirtless(eek). Jake had some great one liners, marshmallows is my most used word this week. The colour change had me a little confused, but I guess most of the movie had to do with werewolves who are hot instead of the freezing cold vampires. The script left a lot to be desired but I agree that the awkward teenage moments were done amazingly well.

Only watch it for a laugh.

First of all, fuck all the naysayers. This movie was a perfect transition from book to screen and the soundtrack is pretty fucking cool. Not to mention, Stephenie Meyer wrote all the books while listening to MUSE albums. Also, if you’re going to understand what’s going on, this isn’t a film you can see first in the series. You really need to see “Twilight” first. The mood was darker, the directing was much better than the first film and the make-up was TEN times better as the vampires actually look like vampires rather than just really pale. Watch the first one with your girlfriend and then take her to see this. You may be pleasantly surprised if you can keep an open-mind and stop being such a fucking troll.

As a hardcore horror fan I find the Twilight movies a nice contrast to all the other bloody gore filled movies I love so much. Respect should be given to the director for really staying true to the material. The cast chemistry is great and the depiction of sexual angst is as strong as ever. The three young leads do a “good” job in each of their roles but ultimately I think Mr Pattinson has the most on screen chrisma. The film also features another kick ass soundtrack making this movie a winner in my book.

The only way any Twilight film is “bloody disgusting” is because of the atrocious acting and overall plot. I saw this first film for a laugh, nearly ended up seeing the second one as a favor to a friend, and was not disappointed in the least that none of the theaters in Shibuya were playing it! Crisis avoided!

And as a Hardcore Horror Fan myself I’m doing my
very best to avoid seeing this film entirely, how
ever family is doing their very best to try to drag me see this horrid film while still in theaters. I have seen the first and was somewhat
impressed, this one I am very unclear about so as
of now I will have to rate it by a gut feeling since I have not actually gone and seen it yet.

I read the books, but the first movie dissapointed me cuz they missed alot and the second movie was better but still lacking. Yes i agree with some, Kristen and Robert can’t act, I am a fan of the books, not the movies. Yes the wolf gang has great bodies, but other than that. That’s it!

New moon was actually what I was expecting. A decent movie that entertains for the most part. The only reason I went to see this is because my mother couldn’t get enough of the Twilight series. I really could care less. It actually isn’t that bad. Yeah, the acting sucks, but the story is actually kind of cool and it is very entertaining. I will say this though: The first hour of New Moon is tedious and slow moving. Luckily, the second hour really kicks this movie into gear. For those of you saying how much you hated the movie, you obviously just want to man up your tastes. It’s not a great movie by all means, but it is entertaining and worth a look. 2 1/2 skulls out of 5.

After viewing Twilight (which I did enjoy, even though I really didn’t want to) I was actually looking forward to New Moon. I went to watch the movie in the cinema and quite frankly was soo bored I could have cried, pissing on my own feet would have been far more entertaining..

What Pissed me off about this movie, wasn’t the acting, but it was the fact that the Director Actually thought that EVERYONE read the book, so he decided to erease Most of the dialoge & some parts that could of made this movie better, but Noo! So this pretty much is like narating The New Moon book, while the book is split in half & it was covered in shit.

Rob mumbels in EVERY Sentence,is he trying to be serious? Kristen is such a slut, she cant keep her eyes off Jacob to save her life. Jacob is a wannabe. The movie didnt even get into the wolftribe, it didnt even showed Victoria more than a minute total. It had the WORSE Cgi EVER,The wolfs looked like puppy dogs. It didnt even have a good soundtrack, Death cab for cutie? Seriously, why not just pick the Jonas Brothers or Justin Gayber. & to top it off, it left with a clifhanging ending, as if the director was sooooo Sure that everyone knows what happens,Michael bay could of done a better job.

Everyone saying that this movie was AMAZING or it paced better than the book, how bout getting your eyes checked, because anyone thinking this shit is good, is as stupid as those 200 pound overwieght, ugly betty fan fiction writers, horny school girls & know NOTHING about movies nore books

So I just finished writing my Eclipse review which I thought was the best yet of this shitty series. This film, New Moon, happens to be the shittiest out of all of them. Totally fucking bullshit. Boring as fuck. Half assed. Unwatchable near the end. The Volturi concept was cool in a sentence, but was executed horribly. I hated this movie.

    BEST ALTERNATIVE: THE UNDERWORLD SERIES!!!!!

As a gay man I find it incredibly annoying that you describe this crap film as GAY, can I describe it as fucking heterosexual suburban bollox, naff little girl vomit, cliched jock fantasy – sorry if if it was GAY it would be True-fucking-Blood, with some actual gay characters and dirty sexy freak sex, nah this is just dull suburban wet dream…
So call it anything you like but don’t drag the winning team into this fuck-tard of a film. Power to all the poofs out there. Candyman, Candyman, Candyman.

I have only watched the last half of this film and it is far from being a good film. It’s alright, for a sequel to the first film. I really enjoyed Twilight, because of it’s great atmosphere and Kristen Stewart. In this film, there isn’t an atmosphere or anything remotely great here. Kristen Stewart is great, but that’s about it. :)

I feel weird for believing this but…New Moon was way better than the first movie. Robert Pattinson must have gone back to acting school and got his degree because he didn’t act like he had the shits like in ‘Twilight’. I’ve always enjoyed Kristen and Taylor’s performances. A big bonus was seeing Dakota as Jane!

Official Score: 1 / 5
