[AFM '12] SOLD! ‘Cockneys vs. Zombies,’ ‘Tower Block’ and ‘The Condemned’
Home entertainment group Shout! Factory has picked up U.K. horror film Cockneys vs. Zombies (pictured) for the U.S. and Canada and the suspense thriller Tower Block for the U.S. from SC Films, says The Hollywood Reporter. Shout! plans to bow the two features via VOD, electronic-sell-through and on DVD in 2013. The company said it is also planning a platform theatrical release and has secured U.S. television rights for the films. In addition, Strand Releasing has acquired all North American rights to Roberto Busó-García’s The Condemned (Los Condenados) and is in negotiations to license the U.S. TV rights to the film to HBO. Strand is planning a spring 2013 release for the thriller about a haunted mansion that was filmed in Puerto Rico. READ MORE
