This is one of the all-time forgotten gems of 1930s exploitation films. Mad scientists, a cat named Satan, chicks fighting, unnecessary nudity, and nods to Edgar Allen Poe will keep you guessing about what this film could possibly throw at you next.
This is the template used when people refer to films that are ‘bad’, yet still somehow find a way to transcend the inabilities of the people who made them and truly become ‘good’.
I am shocked that this film doesn’t have a cult following with line-ups around city blocks for midnight screenings.
This is a movie for people who like old school horror and/or exploitation flicks. Whether you like awesome schlock like “The Brain that Wouldn’t Die” or classy horror like “Eyes Without a Face”, you owe it to yourself to allow this very bizarre movie to become one of your favorites.
