This was a decent film about madness and revenge. I was suprised at how dark and violent it was, though it might be considered tame by todays standards. Still, The oblong box is definitely a precursor to modern slasher films. As for the cast, they gave some admirable performances. Overall, this was an enjoyable classic thriller.
