A brilliant cult classic, most probably the best Vincent Price film ever. The beautiful and gothic New England setting, witches being captured and tortured, a strange howling that predicts death, a coven of vengeful witches and a powerhungry general all makes for great cinema. A visual gem way beyond its time, and I wouldn’t mind seeing a remake for this, strangely enough.
