What we have here is a solid example of the giallo, Italy’s murder mystery genre, which typically includes bloody violence and racy stuff characteristic of the swingin’ 70s. Edwige looks great but is not a terribly exciting thespian. The story has the usual perverse characters and silly comic relief, but remains watchable. Lesbians are shabbily done by, typical of the era. The camera work is better than average, using nice stretchy lenses and interesting camera moves. The best part, tho, is the theme music over the credits. Gorgeous. Worth a look but not life changing, probably – Argento is still the master.
