I watched this movie only because of the ‘ingenious’ title. I actually knew nothing about the plot and expected a schlocky monster-snake cheesefest or something like that, but surprisingly I got a trashy but interesting mad-scientist-flick with some sort of human snake-mutations.
Of course, the story is pretty silly, make-up and special effects are rather poor and it’s full of highly hilarious scenes. Nevertheless, it has a decent cast and some wonderful atmosphere; it’s well-paced and pretty tense (especially in the first half) and never gets boring, plus: nearly all of the snakes in here are real snakes (Mambas, Cobras, Vipers etc.).
An entertaining 70s animal horror cult classic that shouldn’t be taken too serious.
