Great movie. Very creepy. If you like the Silent Hill games, I believe you will like this movie. For me it was very reminiscent of SH, and a little bit of Jacob’s Ladder.
There is little terrifying about this second-rate possession. A mess of a plot with no rhyme or reason for dude’s craziness or for the questionable actions or decisions by the characters. The premise was cool, but once the “possession” starting really happening then all interest about what was going on just turned in to a big WTF?! The meaningless dimestore “monsters” are no reason to feel for the plight, either. The end is no revelation, so even more questions as to what just transpired in the last 85 mins—far more annoying than entertaining.
this movie was very predictable and kinda boring. the creatures in this movie were awesome though.
i liked this movie it was a good one to watch and discuss i mean was it demons, ghosts, brain damage you never really know. it has a creepy feel and sucks you in a must see.

“The Possession of David O’Reilly”- Somewhat creepy, not very suspenseful. Decent plot. Not really a ‘possession’ movie, more of a psychological thriller. Decent acting, Giles Anderson did a great job as David. Zoe Richards & Nicholas Shaw were good supporting characters but they don’t do much except question David’s sanity and/or ultimately believe him. The ending is open to interpretation as to whether or not he was really seeing monsters or if he was just insane. All in all its a decent horror thriller. 3/5 or 7.5/10
Did not really care for this one! It wasn’t scary, though the acting was pretty well done. The creatures were scary, but they didn’t do anything!!!
This film had it’s heart in the right place, but was relatively indecisive in what style of movie they were making. It seemed as though they were shooting some scenes more similarly to Paranormal Activity, in hopes of capitalizing on the “real or fake” concept, yet other scenes were shot as a standard film. I feel as though they had chosen one over the other, it would have been more successful. Still some cool ideas though. More details here:

Inventive take on the “haunted person” plot. A man comes to his best friend’s home disheveled, unnerved, and eventually sharing an incredible tale. His friend, unable to discern whether his friend is insane or truly haunted, refuses to abandon him and unintentionally weaves his and his girlfriend’s fates together with his friends. The characters behave in a believable and sympathetic manner; the only thing I couldn’t wrap my head around is why did they keep handing David a chef’s knife. If it was my house, he’d be figuring out how to defend himself with a q-tip.
