Dario Argento’s terrible looking (trailer inside!) Dracula 3D has been picked up by IFC. Per Fangoria, “IFC Films has snagged the rights and will release it under the IFC Midnight label in 2013.” The film stars Thomas Kretschmann, Marta Gastini, Rutger Hauer, Asia Argento, Miguel Angel Silvestre and Miriam Giovanelli. After Giallo and Mother of Tears I am sad to report that I just don’t care about Dario Argento’s Dracula 3D. I’d bet against it. I’d bet A LOT of money against it. Some (small) fresh news today as it was reported that powerful Spanish film-TV businessman Enrique Cerezo has taken a minority co-production stake in Italian horror maestro’s stereoscopic 3D adaptation of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” The English-language pic, set to go into production from February in Hungary, is budgeted at Euro10 million ($13.2 million).
