Shocking First Look: Elijah Wood Takes a Stab at ‘Maniac’ Redo!
Bloody Disgusting exclusively broke the news before Thanksgiving that Nora Arnezeder (Safe House) and Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings) have been cast as “Anna” and “Frank”, respectively, in Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D, Mirrors, High Tension) and producing/writing partner Grégory Levasseur’s remake of William Lustig’s classic 1980 slasher Maniac. Simon Hunter Will Direct Andy Brigg’s ‘Obituary’
While Mutant Chronicles director Simon Hunter is already working on Safe House, starring Lena Heady, he’s also developing Curve and the werewolf flick Full Moon Fever. Add one more to that list as Hunter revealed on his official website that he’ll be teaming up with producing partner Tim Dennison to direct Andy Brigg’s screenplay, The Obituary. The story tells of a series of murders that are foretold in the obituary columns of the daily newspaper. Tim Dennison will produce with as yet unconfirmed international co-producing partner.
