A sequel that outdoes the fisrt, in almost every area. If you are a fan of the first film, or just low budget slashers in general, then you will have a good time guranteed.

Once again : Decent effects work, not much else. Like the first one.

Had a good time with the movie. The plot is kind of eh, but the kills are pretty sweet and all and all worth watching if you like gore.

I’m so happy that this was just as good as the first. I’m afraid sometimes when they make low budget sequels like this because they tend to suck but this was just awesome. Very bloody and gory fun. Please don’t jack up the 3rd one and just keep doing what your doing. Highly recommend if you liked the first one.

An somewhat improvement over the ludacris original that has some of the best executed death scenes in recent memory that is not for the squeamish but once again terror, real suspense, a concrete story and likable, believable characters and acting are absent. The killer will probably go down in history as one of the most bad ass, unrelenting killing machines with inventive weapons and methods in a slasher film to date but the movie itself doesn’t do him justice. The acting again is very weak and close to what you see on the SyFy channel and the movie is just not that scary and is pretty predictable throughout but what makes it watchable is its high octane kills which is what is the only improvement it has over the original and without the gore it’s nothing and with it it barely survives. Overall the ending gives way for a third installment but I just don’t don’t give a damn because the first two disappointed me and wasted my time and is just typical slasher shit like Hatchet but without the fun and no depth to make it remotely interesting or a standout and it sucks because the inventive killer Chromeskull deserves a better horror film than that and it’s just routine. Skip it! 5.4 out of 10

Descent film, better than the first.. But that isn’t saying too much. Neither of them are really anything I would go out of my way to watch again.

Ignore the Haters this was a great sequel! The gore alone makes this better than any mainstream wannabe CGI crap-fest!The cast was a little better this go around. The girl going blind was a cool idea for suspense.Even though she was annoying.Brian Austin Green was very good.Danielle Harris played a good bitch too.Robert Hall has improved his direction as well. The plot was kind of cool with the whole secret Organization Ala Thorn Cult like from Halloween.I can’t wait for part 3!If your a fan of the Original then buy this.If not Rent it.This is becoming a great B-Slasher Series.ChromeSkull is a bloody treat for all gore-hounds.Ten bucks well spent.

A very uninspired version of the first. Sure it holds up in gore but with boring plot points, I found myself looking for an end to this movie. Laid to rest could probably of went without a sequel but then again, how would Brian Austin Green have found work? Danielle Harris added almost nothing to the film except her very name and that’s about it. With some structure this could have been a great series of horror films.

I was looking forward to this movie because the first one was quite a sleeper hit with me. The concept of this sequel WAS pretty decent, but Brian Austin Green was awful and Danelle Harris just phoned in enough to pay the rent. The kills were great, and in true sequel form….they were better and more graphic. But I didn’t buy the whole story of a whole team behind the killer, tho’ it does leave it wide open for a third installment. I definitely want to revisit this at some point to see if it gets any better. But in the meantime, I’m just gonna pick up a Chromeskull shirt from http://www.fright-rags.com when it comes out next week!!

This movie sucked, the story was very thin and not very creative, seemed to me to be a grab at some cash from the fans. The special effects were great, the only real reason to watch this film. the makeup and gore were amazing, but this still didn’t change my opinion on this film…. Danielle harris is getting annoying, shes everywhere in horror lately and shes not even a good actress, shes just another pretty face, replace her! Megan Foxes man as the star of this film is also a bummer. He is not a good actor and he comes off as a prick, a prick in real life not even on the film… he is boring to watch and obviously full of himself, kinda like a new K-Fed, thinking he is something great when he is just another overprivilaged douchbag.

Laid to Rest, was a well-received slasher/stalker flick that managed to keep a high body count, some over the top gore and decent pacing, to make for a solid movie. Based on the ending, you might understandably be confused as to how there can be a sequel.

Yes, contrary to the pulped and caved-in face of Chromeskull we saw, he was somehow revived and back in the game. One thing I genuinely enjoyed was the inclusion of the two survivors from the first film. I have always loved horror sequels that take place literally hours after the previous entry. It helps maintain a sense of continuity and sort of justifies having a sequel.

This time around we are introduced to a strange, shadowy organization that apparently exists to support Chromeskull and aid him in setting up the “playgrounds” for his kills. Brian Austin Green plays the rather unlikably second-in-command, whose obsession with taking care of lose ends teaches him that he actually enjoys killing people.

What follows is more of what we saw in the first movie, namely people trapped and getting killed. I find it amazing that the police in the Chromeskull world are so moronic. Really, the internal logic of the Laid to Rest series is pretty moronic and suspension of disbelief is totally required.

Ultimately, much like Laid to Rest, this movie is just a bloody and gory good time. Brian Austin Green was clearly enjoying his role and Chromeskull was menacing and enigmatic as always. Really the only waste of casting was the barely seen Danielle Harris. While I enjoy seeing her in movies, it would be nice if she actually got to use her acting abilities once in a while.

This one is an easy recommendation to fans of the original and for a sequel a solid addition. The ending actually made me curious to see how the series will continue. The addition of the FBI and this organization of Chromeskull is also interesting and clearly hints at some type of mythology behind the character.

I had the highest of hopes for this sequel seeing as I loved the first installment.
Chromeskull’Laid To Rest 2′ was confusing and muddled and completely wasted the talents of Danielle Harris by casting her in a role that was unnecessary and coma like in dialogue and acting.
One bright spot in the movie would be the gore and gore effects. They were done really well, not as well as the first but pretty close although they were abundant.
Also actress ‘Brianne Davis’ was great in her role as a nearly blind girl and ‘damsel in distress’,she was another bright spot.
Brian Austin Green was in my opinion another disappointment. His acting was lackluster and his performance added nothing to the film,an unknown with good acting skills would have served better.
The last 30 minutes really picked up and got me interested . Before that I was just going through the motions of watching and hoping it would get better or make more sense.
The ending was somewhat confusing but the very last scene was ironic and clever. If your a gore lover I strongly suggest you see it ,if you want a movie with really great concept and depth I suggest you see Stake land (which in my opinion includes Danielle Harris’ best performance to date) or The Clinic.

I really liked the first movie and this one was every bit as fun. This film was paced well so it never dragged or got boring. The gore effects in this were amazing. I’m really glad they didn’t use the cheesy CGI effects so many movies are using now. This is a very enjoyable sequel, I recommend highly.

This film is ultimately a disappointment. Yes, I love blood and gore as much as the next person, but I also need a good plot and decent acting to enjoy a film these days. Gore alone just doesn’t do it for me anymore. The story is an odd one and doesn’t answer any questions about the events of the first movie, it merely keeps piling on more questions. Who is Chromeskull, what is the purpose of the organization etc etc. We never find this stuff out so it makes for a confusing and head scratching watch. The acting is a step up from the first movie, but again, who are these people ? Danielle Harris is pretty much wasted in a role that has her as a somewhat girl friend to Chromeskull, Tom Dekker is just there as the victim and Brian Austin Green is the only actor he gets a character with any kind of meat on his bones, only to have to stripped off. But, it’s all about the blood and this movie delivers gore and outrageous kill sequences by the bucket load. Gore hound will not be disappointed. As for those wanting a horror film with substance, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

A worthy sequel! I’m not a huge fan of slashers, but Chromeskull has won me over! It’s everything I loved about the original and then some! Does a great job of expanding the backstory while leaving plenty of questions open, hopefully for number three! hope, hope hope….

I am more than willing to overlook small logical slips in a film, but this takes the cake. Why oh why is there a small corporation helping a woman-slaughtering nut hunt his prey? Why does he have a number two who wants the job? This brain damaged premise makes it impossible for me to give this film a pass. Why are there henchmen and -women aiding in all this? It won’t bring them money or power. You need to have a sensible premise, guys. And no, realistic effects don’t make up for this. Slasher films have enough credibility problems. Go back and watch Psycho – people there have their reasons for what they do, even Mrs. Bates. Everything follows from story, and this thing doesn’t have one.

I loved this movie!!! The first time I watched it, I was suprised by how I was’nt as shocked and as excited about the kills in it as I was in the first one. But after a 2nd and 3rd view of the film I realized I knew what to expect from Rob Hall and Co. when it comes to the fx. He could have made the same film over again as was done in countless other slashers of past but I believe he opted for a more complex and memorable sequel. Give it a chance. And dont worry, the “girl” that survived the first one is gone. That bitch could’nt act if her life depended on it! Check it out!

This movie is much better than the first in my opinion. Although Brian Austin Green as Preston who was ChromeSkull’s assistant wasn’t really believable. The kills in this movie were amazing. They were well done. The gore and special effects were also well done and I had no problem with any of the other characters or actors only Brian Austin Green. If you are a fan of the first one which I am kinda…I highly recommend that you see this one.

Wasn’t as good as the first but i still enjoyed it. The FX and kills were awesome once again and I was very taken by the DVD main menu style and music XD. Still a little iffy on how he was brought back and what not but overall its a good watch and enjoyable.

I enjoyed the first the movie, I didn’t think I would like, I really did but can’t say the same about this sequel

This movie started of where last movie left off, which I liked and then movie went down hill as the movies goes on.

I just didn’t like where they took the story at all, as I didn’t like the plot, it was hard to enjoy it however the kills in this movie are really creative some really good gory death scenes in this movie.

The acting in this movie was hit and miss from some of the cast members

Not as good or as fun as first movie but decent kills makes this good slasher movie. 5 out of 10
