Synopsis

Tale of friends who discover they are not alone after they become stranded in a ghost town overrun by nature.

Long: A group of friends become stranded in an eerie and desolate city. Years before in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster, nature has begun to reclaim everything. As the sun sets on this radioactive ghost town, inhuman cries cut through the night air. It seems they are not alone.

All the marketing behind Chernobyl Diaries had led me to expect a laborious, found-footage-done-wrong slog of a movie. While I’ve liked some of the stuff Oren Peli has been associated with – chiefly Paranormal Activity 1 and Paranormal Activity 3 – I just couldn’t muster up much excitement for this project.
