If you were impressed with the action figures for Flash Gordon, Big Lebowski and Dexter, you should be excited to learn that Bif Bang Pow! has acquired the licensing rights for the original Twilight Zone TV series, just in time for the 50th anniversary. Read on for the announcement.
Hello everyone, Lenzi with you again, to give you some of the most exciting news to have ever come out of Bif Bang Pow! headquarters. We are proud to announce we’ve obtained the license for one of the greatest properties ever conceived: ‘The Twilight Zone’. Just in time for the iconic series 50th Anniversary, we’ll be producing collectibles from the series in the form of statues and bobble heads-but some will have, let’s say, ‘special’ twists to them, much like the series itself. And most exciting of all, for the first time, we’ll be bringing the world 3D representations of the man himself, Rod Serling. Serling is one of my personal heroes, and I couldn’t be more excited about this property. We aim to do the genius of Serling justice, both in our representations of him and the many creatures and characters that live in that fantastic universe. There’s lots more news to come, but the first product should hit in time for San Diego Comic-Con 2009, and just wait til you see the exclusive we have planned. It’ll have all the BBP! trademarks of quality and thinking outside the box. Or in this case, outside the normal dimensions. Bif Bang Pow!- officially entering the ‘Twilight Zone’. Won’t you join us?

Up next from Rampage director Brad Peyton is the sci-fi movie Atlas for Netflix, and Netflix has unleashed the brand new official trailer this morning. You can check it out below.

Jennifer Lopez stars in Atlas, which will likely be streamed for 100 billion minutes in its first week of release. Whatever that means. It’s coming exclusively to Netflix on May 24.

“The film follows Atlas, a woman fighting for humanity in a future where an AI soldier has determined the only way to end war is to end humanity. To outthink this rogue AI, Atlas must work with the one thing she fears most — another AI.”

The upcoming science fiction film’s cast also includes Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana Parrilla and Mark Strong.

Peyton said in a recent statement, “Having the chance to direct Jennifer Lopez in the title role of this movie is a dream come true, as I know she’ll bring the incredible strength, depth and authenticity we’ve all come to admire from her work.”

Leo Sardarian wrote the original script, with the latest draft by Aron Eli Coleite.

Producers for the Netflix genre movie include Peyton, Lopez, Jeff Fierson, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
