‘The Goblin’ to Earn Your Family’s Love
It’s a slow news night, so I might as well hit you with the following story. Visual-effects specialist Charles Gibson will make his bigscreen directing debut with the Geoff Rodkey-scripted family comedy with a horror spin The Goblin. The story revolves around a suburban family that moves into its new home only to find a curmudgeonly goblin who doesn’t want them there. “It’s about creating a goblin that will appeal to audiences of all ages,” Williams said. Gibson won visual-effects Oscars for “Babe” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.” He performed visual effects and second unit directing on the “Pirates” franchise and “Terminator Salvation.”
