Two for the price of none (I totally forgot to post about “Double Murder” last week!)

In this month’s Double Murder, Danny! and Tim review Student Bodies and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil in a clash of horror comedies! Will the campy, National Lampoon’s-esque Student Bodies crack the guys up more than 2010’s insta-classic, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil? Tune in to find out the answer and find out why Tim was rushed to the ER only a few short hours after the taping of episode 38…this month on “Double Murder!”

The horror is starting to roll in and we here at News From the Crypt couldn’t be more excited! This month we get pumped for Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games franchise and Alan Ball leaving Bon Temps and backing off on “True Blood.” Horror Guy Keenan gets down and dirty with Hostel 3 and “Alan Wakes American Nightmare,” while Tex Massacre discusses The Woman and dissects The Thing prequel a tad bit more, and Lauren shares her thoughts on the indie festival fav Absentia.

You’ll find both episodes by reading on or searching for “Bloody Disgusting” on iTunes! Watch for new podcast episodes every weekend! DOUBLE MURDER:

Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) is staying busy here in 2024, directing not only the werewolf movie Big Bad but also an upcoming thriller titled Drop.

The project for Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes is being described as a “fast-paced thriller,” and Deadline reports today that Violett Beane (Truth or Dare) has joined the cast.

Newcomer Jacob Robinson has also signed on to star in the mysterious thriller. Previously announced, Meghann Fahy (“White Lotus”) will be leading the cast.

Landon recently teased on Twitter, “This is my love letter to DePalma.”

Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach wrote the script.

Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller and Cameron Fuller — “who brought the script in to Platinum Dunes” — are producing the upcoming Drop. Sam Lerner is an executive producer.

THR notes, “The film is a Platinum Dunes and Blumhouse production for Universal.”
