Spiders. I hate them. You should too. If not, there are tons of classic spider-themed horror films that are sure to make your skin crawl. Hopefully Anchor Bay’s forthcoming Camel Spiders will do so. In celebration of next week’s release, alongside Corman’s World, both on DVD and Blu-ray, Bloody Disgusting has been provided with (2) super sweet prize packs.

Each DVD/BD Prize Packs Include: (1) Sharktopus, (1) Cyclops, (1) Dinoshark, (1) Dinocroc vs. Supergator, (1) Camel Spiders and (1) Corman’s World.

To Enter: Simply put ANCHOR BAY PRIZE PACK in the subject line and send YOUR FULL NAME and ADDRESS to submit@bloody-disgusting.com.

Winners must be in the U.S. and will be chosen at random next Tuesday.

You’ll find cover art and info on both features, alongside an exclusive clip from Camel Spiders. I have no idea what happens because, well, I won’t watch it… CAMEL SPIDERS:Based on actual creatures that for years have tormented our armed forces in the Middle East, these creatures have now invaded the southwestern deserts of the United States. The Camel Spiders now freely hunt for prey, unafraid of any predator – including man. No place is safe no one is beyond their paralyzing sting. In the end, a small band of hearty fighters are forced to make one last stand against the creatures.

CORMAN’S WORLD:CORMAN’S WORLD: EXPLOITS OF A HOLLYWOOD REBEL is a tantalizing and star-studded tribute to Roger Corman, Hollywood’s most prolific writer-director producer, and seminal influencing force in modern moviemaking over the last 60 years. Featuring interviews with Hollywood icons and cinematic luminaries, some who launched their careers within Corman’s unforgettable world of filmmaking, including, Paul W.S. Anderson, Peter Bogdanovich, Robert DeNiro, Peter Fonda, Pam Grier, Ron Howard, Eli Roth, Martin Scorcese, William Shatner and many others, this documentary chronicles how Corman created his cult film empire, one low-budget success at a time, capitalizing on undiscovered talent, and pushing the boundaries of independent filmmaking.

Director Alex Stapleton weaves archival footage following Roger’s illustrious career: From his early days of genre-defining classics including the original Fast and Furious, the original Little Shop of Horrors, The Crybaby Killer, The Intruder, House of Usher, and The Wild Angels (which at that point in 1966 was his 100th film) — with present day video of him and his wife Julie on location still at work as they continue to produce and distribute films outside the studio system: fast, cheap and out-of-this-world!

Horror movie fanatic who co-founded Bloody Disgusting in 2001. Producer on Southbound, V/H/S/2/3/94, SiREN, Under the Bed, and A Horrible Way to Die. Chicago-based.
